  1. The MSU is the most "popular" (and I'm using that term very loosely indeed) part of the ground. It's always first to sell out. Therefore, because the club HAS to be run as a business, the seats in there are at a premium. Just like any other business. You can get your kids in the Chaddy or RRE for £10 a season. I think given our resources, that's a pretty decent do.
  2. There were about 150 left in the RRE. And I would rather see the home fans in there exclusively. I'm not often wrong, but today I was. I thought that we would see very little movement in fans, but the Chaddy was much fuller than normal. Great to see. And Jesus Christ, how much did John Greg not want to be interviewed?? What a miserable bastard!!
  3. Correct. The goal came from a rare moment of Smith getting forward. We had bodies in the box. Until Dayton came on, I can't remember anyone actually putting in a cross! We so need to drive forward when we get the ball on the half way line. You run at League one players and most of them :censored: themselves....
  4. Good work today, lad. Most of the miserable, silent twats in the Chaddy didn't know what hit 'em.....
  5. Massive result that. We didn't half make bloody hard work of it though. Sat too deep, gave them too much room. We looked like the away side at times JCH and Charlie Mac need shooting lessons. Should have won by two or three. Ref was a weapons grade bell end that gave us :censored: all until about 70 mins. Worked hard for those points, although I would have liked to have seen us work harder off the ball and press more. That Gadaffi lad is the size of your average family saloon. What a unit!! The Chaddy was superb today. Looked like quite a few made the switch from the RRE and the lads sang their hearts out. Well done everyone.x
  6. Honestly, what a complete waste of time. Everyone will just sit where they normally sit and make as little noise as they normally do. What was the point???
  7. Yes, No and No for me. I've had enough of Latics putting me in bad mood for the weekend/evening and paying for the privilege. Selected home and a few more away games instead for me next season I think.
  8. In terms of simply improving the atmosphere, combining two stands worth of fans into one will always see improvements. However a lot of fans would like to see this one stand be the RRE. I think it's worth another trial. As an old sales manager of mine often said, "if you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what always got". To be fair, he was a complete :censored: generally, but I'll give him this one thing...
  9. Harkins once visited the British Virgin Islands. After he left, they were renamed the British Islands....
  10. Was it that arsehole that I was "exchanging views" with at the end??
  11. I think after flirting with League two for many years now, this is our time. Hope I'm wrong, but can't see any other result....
  12. It makes me chuckle that some on here actually believe Oldham fans are in some way intrinsically different to any any other fans in terms of giving their own players abuse. We're the same as those up and down the country. No different at all.
  13. Let's just hope Harkins doesn't get injured....
  14. Correct. Mad John is like Zlatan compared to some of the dross we've currently got wearing the shirt....
  15. Any league where Scott Vernon, Dean Brill and Adam Rooney are successful is not one I'm particularly interested in. And certainly not one I'm going to lose any sleep over....
  16. The only thing that was vile yesterday was conceding yet ANOTHER injury time equaliser/ winner. Against a terrible team who had a mere five minutes earlier mustered about their only shot on target the whole game. We were marginally the better of two very poor sides in a six-pointer. And we conceded direct form a corner AGAIN. In injury time AGAIN. That was the only "vile' aspect of the game. Yet some were still happy to clap the team off. Baffling...
  17. He also says "I know I'm a good entrepreneur, but I'm not sure that I'd be a very good manager and there is a difference" and "I just think once I've set something up, it's better if someone else runs it. I can dive in and out and be a pain occasionally, but the day-to-day business is better for somebody else to do"....
  18. If it's true - what a complete :censored: bag. Hope he gets his.......
  19. I'm going. Few beers in Manc first and a good old sing song at the game. All the things I tend not to do at home.
