Thought their Sunday league clogging centre half was lucky to be on the pitch to be able to hand ball it - definite pen, but no red for me. The Ox pulled out a massive save to stop us going 2 down, from which we would not have come back. But I felt he was dragged way out of position for their goal and was glued to his line a couple of times again. We strolled after we scored, but struggled to break them down despite having the lions share of possession prior to that. The better team won. Oh, and the BT coverage was good yet again. Far better than Sky's poor football league efforts.

Chesterfield could have had 2 or 3 in the first ten minutes. We then realised we were in a game and took it to them. Great Philly goal and should have got another in the 10-15 mins of pressure afterwards. Evens at HT, but they had far more clear cut chances than we did. 2nd half we dominated a little more and had enough possession to see them off, but had no cutting edge. Blatant pen in injury time - the officials bottled it. :censored:e pen from Rogers and a :censored:e effort from Chubs who let one squirm through, did for us in the end. Disappointed, but not gutted. We're doomed not to get to the JPT final. It's written. Whatever..... Oh, and I still :censored:ing hate Chesterfield....

Exactly this. We got at them in the first 5-10 minutes, scored, then stopped doing what had brought us success. Sat back and gave them too much room. The equaliser was then inevitable. We're not good enough to defend a slender lead for 88 minutes....

I thought Mellor and Dayton were poor first half. They both got roasted every time Wolves came forward. Their whole attacking threat was down that side and was only a matter of time before they scored from a cross from there - which they duly did. Mellor isn't a left back for me. Has a mare nearly every time and the oppo always target him - for good reason....

Been pissing down in Littleborough all morning. I bet the sprinklers still go on at HT....

I reckon Mkdongs v Halifax or Wimbledon v cov would get a tv billing before us....
