  1. I'd be 100% certain that we are the only club to actually lose the required FCA permissions. They were lost because of a failure to file routine returns compounded by a subsequent failure to even respond to the regulator resulting in the club being declared not fit and proper.
  2. After a chase because the first person I'd contacted had left DR did to say thanks and they'd shout if needed. Doesn't matter to me, maybe they thought they'd got an alternative solution
  3. But on the upside, whatever it is that you're punishing her for she probably won't do again.
  4. Well, it's very closely linked to what I've done for a living for 32 years and I did offer to sort it out at mates' rates
  5. It's largely craft beer places selling weirdly flavoured rubbish that tastes vaguely interesting for the first sip, and then you come to your senses and go somewhere that sells beer flavoured beer
  6. Hopefully Halifax will be absolutely knackered when we play them
  7. Are we still thinking that Chesterfield want to win the title at home. If so, we'll be three points behind Halifax tonight
  8. Well, Daddy was a bank manager... I didn't have much vocational imagination aged 17. But obscure??
  9. It wasn't the concept of the attendance I was struggling with...
  10. Thewy haven't finished it yet - there's a five mile stretch near me that has been single lane contraflow for months!
  11. We beat Palace? Finding that hard to believe! I think the last time we won at Selhurst Park was before I was born, and that includes when Wimbledon and Charlton played there. Was all in quite sharp focus when my Sunday League team was made up largely of Palace & Oldham fans
  12. Well I definitely support my local pub! I'm sort of intrigued as to how Steve Coogan came to decide that Partridge comes from Norwich. That polarises opinion round here (I'm not far from Norwich) with some people loving the locality being highlighted and others thinking he's just taking the piss out of what is often termed 'Normal for Norfolk'.
  13. I can't see why being local would make me like the work of a particular artist. Doesn't mean I wouldn't wish them well. I'd think it would be weirdly parochial if my tastes in music/film/comedy/art/drama/literature etc. were governed in any way by geographical affiliation.
  14. Can't imagine why anyone would be a fan just because they came from the same area. That would be like saying two Latics fans could never fall out...
  15. and there's a new series of 'documentaries' this year Steve Coogan to return as Alan Partridge in BBC mockumentary | Steve Coogan | The Guardian (I don't really read the Guardian...)
  16. Needs context though. Have to watch KMKYWAP first
  17. it's a slow Monday afternoon so.... When I went for an interview for a job in NatWest at the Greenfield branch in 1980 the manager asked if I'd be interested in working for the bank in London. I got back in the car afterwards, flicked the radio on and the first track on was London Calling. The rest is history.
  18. At a pub not far from here last year he turned up for the pub quiz with Taylor Swift
  19. I've just rewatched the travel tavern series with my Norn Irish partner who had been blissfully unaware of his ouevre. A week on and she;s still crying with laughter at 'Sunday Bloody Sunday'
