    I wonder why he's not been sent out on loan. Nothing wrong with finding out how youths cut it up against their elders at any level. It's found out plenty.

    It's hardly comparable is it. Did they do any maintenance of any sort?

    As it says it's partly due to maintenance I'm not sure it's too disappointing. We've seen what happens to the ground when maintenance is neglected

    Such is life. Me being cross about it isn't going to make anyone switch to supporting a fifth division club. It's up to the club to generate interest and that's harder in this age than it once was

    This must support your local club thing only really exists in the North West. There are huge swathes of the country where there isn't a local club at all. Hardly surprising that people in those areas gravitate to the big glamourous clubs.

    But he's a local boy to Manchester, not Oldham. He may come from Failsworth, although he didn't grow up there, but Failsworth wasn't in the Oldham borough then.

    There were 38 boats involved. 37 now as one rower died... But they're not close together and there are no support boats. He has capsized three times so far.
