  1. A seven page thread about a postponement. Don't usually get half that much for a victory (as far as I can remember).
  2. Who's complaining? Just straightforwad questions.
  3. What was the original intention? Is it still going? Is it at all close to showing any results?
  4. That's because that is a diffent case! The one that came close to a heead yesterday relates to a company called XN Networks. Moore was a non-exec before it was acquired by Torex Retail. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbys...r-collapse.html
  5. It's a silly question I'm afraid. trust them to do what? Throw good money after bad? Always put their own interest second? To never turn a profit?
  6. Well sort of. Two ex Torex directors were charged with false accounting and misleading auditors yesterday and with investigations ongoing I imagine some others will be as well. TTA aren't all that bad really!
  7. Barry. Your dual role will inevitably involve conflicts of interests; your challenege os to manage them. When you say that you are posting with one speciifc hat on are you saying that the conflict doesn't exist or that it is unmanageable? This is an honest question. My job involves making sure that conflicts are managed or on the occasions that they can't be disclosing their nature and explaining the position. I can understand your frustrations with lack of input - been there, felt that - but to simply ask for blind loyalty when you have the task of representing fans is utterly unacceptable in my opinion.
  8. I don't understand why you think the two roles are divisible.
  9. Before I answe that question I would like to be reminded of the stated purpose of the trust. Can someone post a link to its constitution and also confirm what, if any, guarantees were given in exchange for its investment in the club?
  10. I remember asking the same question in 2003 when it appeared to be a given that we would go under and resurface in the NWCL. No-one put their hand up then - let's hope we don't need to find ut for real this time. It's not about being willing to go and support - it's about doing the hard work that woudl be involved in getting going and I very much doubt there would be 2000 up for that.
  11. Corect but throughout this whole saga I haven't seen a single post which indicated that there is anyone actually willing to put some time and effort in.
  12. Indeed, but when was the last time we found a bargain at all? Strikes me the scouting system needs a serious shake up along with much else. The reord of players we have paid a fee for in the last few seasons is abysmal.
  13. Don't want to stop bargain hunting - just need to actually find a bargain! Morison might not be popular after whatever happened yesterday but he did go for £5k for his last move.
  14. Quite. I have no idea if that's true but if it is, and from publicly available records, then it needs to be substantiated on here.
  15. Eh? Defence 5th best in the league, 6/10. Forwards worst in the leage, 5/10??
  16. Mouldy Old Dough and the little known second line: Dirty Old Man
  17. I recommended Steve Morison to Latics about three years ago. It's a matter of time....
  18. My Sunday league side's tour of Scotland early 90s. Played on Falkirk's training ground outside Brockville. Soimon Stainrod, then manager of Falkirk came and played for the second half
  19. Wonder what in God's name was going through my mind five years ago?
  20. That's a bit rich - it's not like you've ever hijacked a thread!! Night night.
  21. I claimed no such thing. Most of the article is factual. This really isn;t complex. They tried, they made mistakes and they failed on the five year plan but suggesting they should just pass it on to next in line makes no sense because there ain't no queue. Re bricks through windows - we know that sort of thing happens. If I was a Director of a club and it happened to me once, just once, I would walk.
