  1. Going To Barcelona in September, want to take a game in, they got Sevilla while i'm there. Searching for tickets on the web all sorts of different websites come up, anyone recommend any trustworthy one's or anyone had experience of going to games abroad, how did you get tickets etc?
  2. Flown by this year, just goes to show the importance of getting new players in early doors to gel etc.
  3. 2013– Bolton Wanderers 18 (4) Yeah looks it lol, can see this happening and Top L1, lower Champ is his level at best. Look forward to seeing him play again if this is true, always rated him at BP and was sad to see him leave.
  4. As i've only been watching properly since around 95/96 onwards, Lee Duxbury for me, absolute leader and true legend at Latics, special moments such as Wigan away and City away live long in the memory. He's the leader of the Latics and his name is Duxbury.
  5. I would take a 'younger' Steven Caulker now, he went to Yeovil as an 18 year old, then moved up to Bristol City and then Swansea, and is now finding his way into Spurs first team squads and International recognition. What about Scott Wootton at Man Utd, played on loan for Tranmere, Peterborough and Forest so far, aged 21. Or someone a wee bit younger, Nicholas Ioannou, 18 years old, again at Man Utd, Cypriot with bags of potential. Over at City, Kieran Kennedy, local centre half, 20 years old this September, capped by England u19's. But one who could really ruffle some feathers is City's u18 captain George Swan, Peter's son. George was on Leeds's books before City.
  6. It's been reported in the Daily Mail of all places that the NY Post has named Liam Gallagher as the rock star, who is of course denying it... Today Liam Gallagher's spokesman told MailOnline: 'Lawyers are taking action against the New York Post. We are not going to comment on gossip.' http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2366593/Liam-Gallagher-sued-millions-woman-accuses-fathering-secret-love-child-her.html
  7. 25k is no where near big enough for our ambitions...
  8. It's ok, Tounkara will beast them yeah but then fire over from 3 yards, loved his passion and commitment though during the season he was with us.
  9. JCH to start against Macc for me, wanna take a good look at him, in a purely football related manner.
  10. The first picture has definitely been photoshopped. FACT. The second photo shows JB to be over weight, he could do with losing half a stone, the guys a professional footballer, he should be in prime condition, no matter what level of the pyramid your at. When He ping ping wants everyone pressing high up and closing down as a team, this guys gonna be on his backside, but hey, he chips a penalty in every now and then.
  11. Cliff and Wes both played tonight and he was made captain!! I'd be happy with Smith as captain..Can still see Wes leaving tbh.
  12. They'll be wanting us to move to the regional athletics track by the side of the Etihad next.......deal off.

  14. I think Oxley and Simpson are fine tbh, again without seeing them play. It was great having two good gk's last season, but in the end it didnt create the competition I thought it might, both made mistakes, and at least one of them sulked when he wasn't picked, at least if Simpson isnt getting a game, he'll be happy being back up.
  15. I think theres a load of nonsense going on between Birmingham and Swindon, as he was supposed to be going Swindon as part of a player swap. BCFC have taken that player but obviously Rooney hasn't gone the other way. A quick look on the internet tells you though that Rooney wanted £8k a week at Swindon as that matched his Brum wages. How the devil can we afford this lad? On the other hand, as if we're gonna say, yeah go on lad train keep fit play games, then go before the season starts, plus the Chron etc would have known he was on the army trip so by tweeting that he was signing, they must have known that it is happening before saying it....surely
  16. Fishal are reporting he's training with us and playing in pre season friendlies, whilst he sorts a contractual issue out assisted with the PFA.
  17. That and maybe, just maybe some of the cup money has been re-invested into the squad. When you look at Brentford, Yeovil, Oreint et al al had cracking seasons last year, they must have surely looked at it and thought , why not?? Looking forward to Stevenage, can't beat 1st game of the season, hope, optimism, 1-0 defeats !! joking a side, should be a good day out that.
  18. Great signing at this level, Davies could have still cut it at Notlob for another 12 months. It's the players around him that are the key as other posters have alluded to. Just had a quick look at PNE's squad and they're not all that tbh. The positives are Davies and Larry, who has managed to get Blackpool, Leeds and Huddersfield promoted out of this division. I think they'll be up there, but not quite good enough, top 10 finish for me. Still believe Wolves will steamroll this division. I know big clubs like Leeds, both the Sheffield clubs and many more have struggled to get out, but Wolves should be a different class. Also, they've just signed Sam Ricketts and Leigh Griffiths who's record suggests he will score goals.
  19. Great effort, putting that team together, for me, we look strong going forward and there are goals in those forward players, and with strength on bench to make changes, Monty, Mellor, Clarke-Harris etc. Also the two holding players of Wes and Smith looks strong.....that defence worries me though, Grounds is sound, but we need x2 CB's and a RB for me, unless Winchester is going to be this super duper full back Johnson thinks he can be.
