Great performance given the circumstances. Miller's sending was a bit silly by even with 10 caused them problems. Thought Clarke and George coped well with a very physical team. George a bit lucky to not give a pen away early. Not one one player didn't put a shirt in. Lang is the new Paul Warne where he gets his energy I have no idea and great run and turn that nearly won it. Maouche has always needed a run of games he should get them now and he has an eye for a pass. Missile had a good game so we have real competition for a defensive midfielder at the mo. Let's hope we can build on these last two performances and get some wins on the board Expected more from Lincoln kick and rush and a cynical set. After lump it to big bugger didn't work they resorted to er kicking it to the big bugger. Always looking for a free kick as well . Officials as bad as you will see. The near side liner was awful.

Haven't read all the comments but bemused by some I've seen. 2nd best first half too much hoofball. Fortunate to go in front. We could not hold the ball against a powerful and organised defence. Lang ran the yards but totally ineffective. We grabbed a goal. 2nd half under pressure then we brought sturridge on and as soon as we turned them around they looked average at best butThey scored. we had the better of the later moments. Corner incident brain dead. We played well defence excellent, lyden did well. Sturridge must be nearing a start. Don't think bunn got a lot wrong today. They are 7th and after starting brightly we once again ground them down and should probably be disappointed we didn't win it.. credit to their keeper for that. Ref a true homer missed a blatant elbow and blew up everyone we challenged for a corner 2nd half. Keep playing like that we will be going the up the table. People finding fault for faults sake. A good performance let's keep it up

Consistency is his problem. Decent player and you can't fault his effort but there's a reason he's in league 2. Gets a lot of stick some of it deserved some of it now but he doesn't hide. That said our midfield has been dire most of the season and he's started in most games not saying it's his faulty directly but something isn't working

What a strange game. Cambridge were a big physical and athletic side and for the first 15-20 minutes we were 2nd best to everything. Gave them to much time for the goal and they scored. Another chance from range a bit later and then our keeper makes an important save - one of the few times they got in the box. After that we huffed and puffed without creating anything or looking like scoring. Then a good goal from a corner, a gift from their keeper and then we see it out and add a 3rd which flatterd us but hard to see how we were going to turn that around at half time. They had us on the wrack but didn't keep up the tempo or aggression that caused us problems in the early part of the game. They seemed to find lots of space in behind the midfield and in front of the defense. Palmer 7 - didn't have loads to do. Good first half save when they were one V one when we were struggling Taylor 6 - saw a lot of the ball going forward in the first half but couldn't find a telling cross Clarke 7 - dealt well with a physical threat posed by their forwards Edumunson 8 - great header got us level and won the ball consistently second half either in the air or deck Hunt 6 -Up and down the line and battled well against a powerful team blew a great crossing opportunity when we had bodies forward but Branger 6 - not sure he as enough quality at times but in the first half was one of few attacking options. Got a few crosses in but none were all that dangerous till the 2nd half. Can't fault his effort Gardner 6 - some awful corners today but then comes up with a decent one for the goal. Guilty of taking one too many touches at times Lyden 7 saw more forward passes from him today and in 2nd half started to get into some tackles. Great finish for his goal. Maybe coming into fitness now but still a worry how they got through us the first half Dummigan 6 hes not a winger and it showed first half often coming inside when we needed width which was odd to see - im not sure he put a cross in during the game Miller 8 - Only genuine attacking outlet in the first half. Worked hard caused them problems especially as the game opened up. Put pressure on the keeper leading to the 2nd Lang 7 - Over powered up front and did not pose much of a threat bar willingness to put himself about but took his goal superbly. Get him arund the box and the lad can finish Subs Maouche 6 Another one i'm not convinced, light weight and wanders about. Did make a couple of nice passes and won a couple of tackles Sturridge 6 good to him back out there and some promising The win papers over the cracks a bit but the effort was there again. Would we have won without the gift? Hard to say as we didn't create many chances. Cambridge did start to knock it around again immediately after we got level but we saw that out reasonably well then got in front and from that point never looked back. 2 from 2 and twice coming form behind to win. Next up bin dippers lets make it 3 from 3

Getting tired of games being called off for u21 games. In this situation, I get it without having a fit 2nd string keeper but its getting really frustrating have games called off but this must be affecting lower league teams. Missing out on Saturday revenue cant be good I still don't understand why they call Dummigan up, are they that short on players? He's barely featured after injury for us this season So 2 games already potentially having to be played another on another date this season, how many more can there be? Fixtures have been rubbish this season. Couldn't get to Notts County away cause it was postponed and we have been away for weeks..Annoying

Some interesting comments. I haven't seen enough of benteke to form an opinion yet..I said at half time maybe he could become like Wayne Andrews bambi on ice but got a few goals. Bentekes touch doesn't look great but he had another promising run later more time required. Baxter is fine as a behind the main striker/ attacking midfield role but he's clearly missing something. He's got goals in that position before but Match fitness confidence what ever isn't there. maybe that spell earlier in his career is the best he will manage. That said maybe he needs a more dominant strike partner than cog. Gardner is the most frustrating player I have even seen. Ability is there but he's so totally inconsistent and that's from minute to minute. Always seems to go for the Hollywood option as well. He's ok at league 2 level but there's a reason hes with us. Cant fault his effort and has good vision but execution often lacking. Defence isn't too bad. I do worry we will cash hunt or hammer in this season. Hunt has been doing ok recently to. The league does look week at times but we are no great shakes either. We don't have a right winger and shorn of sturridge we don't have a real cutting edge. We need more pace in the side and to move the ball faster but we are all sideways and backwards with limited movement

Problem with playing Baxter behind a forward is if that forward isn't winning the ball or holding it up then he barely gets into the game. We need a dominant target man to make that happen and we don't have one.

We made hard work of that..They were a really poor side an offerd little. We got there in the end. We still are too scared to shoot in good positions or are unwilling to play the ball forward for what ever reason at times the defence were taking 6,7 8 touch to get the ball forward. But we got there Lang took his goal really well and at least benteke was given some time to do something. Iverson 6 will never have an easier game. Spectator. Clarke 6 no mistakes as such but he was a little slow on getting rid of the ball. George 6 similar story really but defend well. even if the defence were sat a bit deep Hamer 7 how he wasn't starting I don't know. Solid strong in the tackle and loads of energy. Hunt 7 good game overall they rarely got anything going in wide areas and his cross for the goal was crucial Nepo 8 probably our best attacking player. Couple of decent efforts on goal and crosses Missolou 7 very good first half won a lot of ball. Did it give it away much either and coverd the pitch well. Was a bit of a risk leaving him on for the full game I thought. Gardner 6 invisible for 30 minutes before getting in to the game. Didn't give it away as much but still looks for the Hollywood moments too much. Lang 7 promising start but then drifted out the game but has ability when given the ball and took his goal really well. Baxter 6 looked bright in the first half and u thought he was going to get on the end of something today faded away 2nd half. Cog 5 started ok good ball for Baxter at one point but the offerd nothing Benteke 7 not convined his touch is up to it but got the goal. Did not do a huge amount otherwise but that was a crucial moment for us. Miller 6 instant upgrade on cog and carrys way more of a threat.

I don't disagree sadly - but he's a new man with a new team. If we can go on another decent run then we will be fine, I do think he's set us up to be strangely defensive which surprised me

How do you know he isnt doing? Do you Wenger think never had a go at the Arsenal players back in the day? Ud never here about it before the game though but odds are he will have done he could have a tantrum with the best. By all means, give the players a hiding but keep it in-house. Used to hate Moore singling out players for mistake that's the game especially at lower levels!

Really does make me laugh when people go on about boring pre and post match talks to the press. The only time they are entertaining is when someone is going off on one ala the special one. Do we really want another Ronnie Moore "i should have put a bell in the ball" comment. I couldn't care less what he says before a match but I would hope we are looking to move the ball with more speed and be more aggressive tonight than we have been. We seem to happy at nil nil to sideways and backward. Go for the line and get balls into the box and hopefully we have some numbers in there.

I'd stick Gardner on a wing as well. Can get up and down and he's quick. Sometimes think that's his problem in the middle runs into trouble but if he can get room at a full back it might at least move a full back out of position etc. In miller is fit he has to start and we may as well give Lang a go upfront. In the middle of just go with one holding midfielder so lyden if fit if not missle will do. Baxter hasn't ripped up trees but with two winger and two forwards he might have more to work with. Fingers crossed for a win.

I actually thought the foul was outside the box at the game . Moronic challenge when they had no chance of getting possession. There 15 did it to ogrady 3 times in the first minute of the game but that was so stupid from Clarke. We were crap again first half. Baxter looked a bit better but still a peripheral figure Nepo came on and got some decent balls in but hardly anyone in the box to contest them. Banger was awful. Lyden I expected a bit more from but only his second game after a spell out but yet again our midfield was rubbish. We are exhibiting the same traits as last year at the moment after a decent start that's disappointing home form needs fixing not sure we needed another midfielder probably another out and out forward

Still don't get the Missilou being so much better than fane argument. They are both defensive midfielders..with little ability going forward. Missilou is better on the ball a better technical player with the ball at his feet. Fane can look really awkward. But fanes recovery speed is better, when needed, his positional play improved last season,he's more physical and is much more destructive to he oppositions midfield. Missilou gave up tracking back at one point in the first half on Saturday . I haven't seen Fane do that to often. Missolou was one of the better players Saturday but The fane of last January would get in this side at the mo.

That was also my highlight for Saturday...small things Baxters best days may have gone. He can still pass a ball but is his fitness going to get better..is he injured? He was always good technically but never an athelete. He used to run like a hunchback I can't remember him running at full speed yet. 352 didn't suit us and needed changing quicker. Let's hope lessons are learned and hamer comes back into the squad and nepo isn't binned off again

It's not a dig as such I thought he had a a poor game is all. I'm not sure what Hamer has done wrong but Graham looked a weak link today. I forget hes only a kid but Bunn signed him and see him training he should know if he's up to it..

Terrible performance from minute 1 we looked slow and lethargic. The formation should have given us control of the middle but they went straight through us. We had limited movement off the ball. From the chairmen, mangers and players that's been a rubbish few days. Lets hope they can put that performance behind them. 5 Iverson had little to do but again picked the ball put of the net. Graham 5 looked suspect all game with the ball at his feet. Clarke 5 struggled with hopes movement 1st half. Tried but couldn't stop the first goal looked vulnerable at times for the 1st game this season. Edmunson 4 overplayed in the first minute to gift them a chance then did the same again later leading to first goal. Poor distribution at times as well a bad day at the office. Taylor 5 was given a warning a few mins earlier when they stood the ball up to the far post and the same thing happend for the 1st goal. Two goals from his side today. Hunt 5 a willing runner but struggled going forward again. Gives away some silly free kicks. Gardner 5 ineffective to say the least. Didn't win a tackle first halfand never looked like coming up with something to create a change or score. Baxter 5 can still pass a ball but are his best days gone? Is the desire still there. Better second half good ball to Lang for the 1st. Missilou 6 only midfielder to put a tackle in but doesn't set the world on fire going forward. First half there was a situation where they broke and he just stopped chasing after their player but he was ok other than that but the postional play of the midfield was poor today. Miller 7 about the only player to come out with any credit. Power and pace first half and took the goal well. Shame he looked to be injured. Sturridge 5 rarely involved. No service. Subs. Lang 6 did well when he came on but the game looked lost. Good through ball to Miller for the goal. Should probably have scored a close range header. Again played himself into trouble in defence. Cog 5 no real impact.

County played the last time there were internationals as did we. If Dummigan is called up so would we want to postpone he hasn't featured this season? I really want to go to this so I want it to be on. Any ideas when we will know for definite
