  1. What I'd like to see is Lemsagam, Wild, Clarke etc really encourage supporters to get to the game on Saturday. Even better would a reduction in admission prices to get a load of yesterday's following - and more besides - into the ground for a league game. Very tough game, but the momentum and confidence gained if we could get a win heading would be so beneficial. We're heading into that part of the season comparable to the stage in a horse race when jockeys start to clamber for position.
  2. A memorable day. For the craziness of the final 15 minutes, that beats our three Premier League topples. Atmosphere incredible and the players were superb.
  3. Missilou. Probably the best individual performance since Craig Rocastle's masterclass in shielding a defence down at Swansea.
  4. He certainly deserves the chance. I bet he can't believe his life at the moment.
  5. A very comfortable win against a terrible side. The difficulty we have is that struggle to play through teams and rely on most of our chances being created from a wide position. When the likes of County have both winger and full-back dropped deep we soon run out of ideas.
  6. Good luck to the lad. I would expect nothing short of complete commitment from the players, in dedication to Bunn and to our supporters who had to watch their Boxing Day Hunt impersonation.
  7. This would fly a bit better if we hadn't been relegated and had three - soon to be four - managers in little more than 12 month.
  8. Another utterly baffling, mindless and stupid decision by someone who is going to ruin our football club. Lemsagam out. A banner is required.
  9. Absolutely no evidence to suggest the players have a problem with Bunn. I'd say it is the opposite.
  10. It happens mate. If owt, you're letting them off the hook with an easy excuse.
  11. Give over lad. The ease at which cliches are spewed on this forum is staggering. If a team gets a pasting on Boxing Day, you can rest assured this nonsense comes out. Are you suggesting every player involved today organised themselves to get on a run of double brandy's yesterday? We got slapped for six today; there are no excuses for it, the players ought to be ashamed but it happens and can happen at any time. We happened to fall on the same side when Bunn was announced and there are a few supporters on this forum who irritate me from the other side, but I'm not so set against the man to alter my opinion after each and every game. That said, we need an urgent review of our back four. He didn't ask for it from the pillock with the pre-match mic - "Captain. Leader. Legend" for making 100 appearances was nauseating to hear - but Peter Clarke and Frankie need to have a serious conversation.
  12. We seemed out of ideas after an hour, we were dire in defence for the entire game and yet we still deserved a point. Disappointed.
  13. That was as well as I've seen us play for a long, long time. Our ball control was just brilliant.
  14. I fancy both will come flying out. Looking forward to a good game and I reckon we'll win. 3-1.
  15. I wasn't there today, but it sounds like we played well and deserved to win. Bury ought to be an exciting game.
  16. Make your mind up. However, yes, I agree: a good point. With Lincoln arriving on Tuesday, it would have helped us considerably if we'd have been able to hang on, but we can't expect to win a game in this league. We have our standard and we have to earn every point. If we can find a way of scoring the second game, we can have a decent December (Third Round of the FA Cup; perhaps nine points from the five league games) and be in the top 10 come next year. Surridge returning is crucial. EDIT: Goal, not game.
  17. This is an excellent game. From the supporters' point of view, we could be have had a turgid first half and only start to create with ten minutes remaining. As it is, we could have scored five before half-time.
  18. The running of our place would make a Cold War espionage flick look tame. If Bunn has been handed his P45, we'd have known two week before even he knew.
  19. This is just bliss. You are all over the bloody shop.
  20. Putting aside your odd interpretation of what a football supporters' forum on which football supporters contribute ideas and opinions and engage in a bit of back-and-forth is for, I can only conclude that you accept having employed three managers over the course of a single season. As I have stated, you are very much part of the problem.
  21. Although I believe in allowing for revision of a standpoint, the rate at which you do is worthy of highlight and question so let me just put this to you: "Whilst I’m not exactly leaping around at the appointment.... give the guy a fucking chance! Jesus." Indeed, that is one of your many contributions to this forum in the days after the appointment of Bunn. Ultimately it is for you to decide your own definition of giving somebody a chance, a fair crack of the whip, and clearly you're happy to ask for drastic change after a eight-game run - or 16 league games in total - which you're entitled to do. However, I submit that with your impulsive reactions and record of altering your opinion you are very much part of the problem. You're not alone, of course; this forum is full of similar types and they, too, help contribute to our unstable position. There are too few examples to be offered that can justify the sacking of a manager after 16 league games and only to find themselves in a healthier position come the end of that season once a replacement has been sourced, nor has Bunn, who you might recall I raised immediate doubts about, been given ample chance to improve a club clearly destined for more years of struggle. A summary of the problems: 1. We appointed Bunn in the close-season when more preferable names were available 2. The running of the club has deteriorated to such an extent that I struggle to name a possible candidate who would take the job 3. Money is tight - if not non-existent. The weekly envelope has not been guaranteed for several years Ordinarily I would expect a newly-relegated club to aim for an immediate return to the division they dropped out of, but who can articulate a case for this? When you evaluate the state in which we are, I believe you are left solely with hope. Bunn lacks a lot, but I am not nervous or fearing a season over which we are consistently in the bottom six or seven. As others have stated, he does have the players' respect and that should see us right come May. Not exciting, not something to cheer about, but it is the best case to be made.
  22. Football supporters have long past caring so why would club owners? There are countless examples to demonstrate the dire state - I'm not talking about the obscene sums of money attached to to; there are many who would argue that the financial state is rosy. I'm talking about traits such as principle and loyalty - but Ranieri's dismissal at Leicester is a good and recent example. Providing shirts are being flogged in China and supporters can video record footballers celebrating a goal with a silly manoeuvre, looking like a tit doesn't register. Of course, what you refer to ought to be enough to make a cat laugh but the social media people simply had to create a few short videos referring to the club's new 'journey' or 'story' to announce the sale of the club and it's lapped up - like the milk the laughing cat is too preoccupied to sup.
