  1. nice one lets hope that they decide that an emergency planning meeting is to be held, and the whole decision overturned with planning consent given. then the whole planning commity will be asked to step down from the duties.
  2. absolutely fantastic emails and letters those.keep up the good work. i have sent one myself via the councils website, and also one to mr meacher,i was sending one to mr woolas, then the main site featured his thoughts,so i dont need to do that one. all we need to do now is get some backing off local celebs or something, scholesy would be great.
  3. so we dont need a conference and banquetting suit then. which would undoubtedly bring in around 3-400 people a week spending money in the borough wich would help to boost the economy. be interesting to know how long these residents have been living where they are now. as if you buy a property you can hardly say you dont notice a football ground. i sincerely hope they dont pull out,but i also would totally understand it if they did. however i would still investigate moving out of town,if there willing to fork out 80 million, they could sell the land that bp is on,giving them more money groundshare for a couple of years and get private investment to pay for the rest.im sure some other local town, middleton, ashton would only be to pleased that someone was thinking of pumping that kind of money and infrastructure into there town, bringing with it the extra income. will the last person out of oldham please turn off the lights.
  4. who with and where??? i certainly wouldnt want to travel to either rochdale or bury,or stockport. i would seriously look at stakehill area, its on the a627m,and has its own motorway exit.and is close enough to bp.good transport links to it,and it isnt going to impact on local residents as its all industrial site. plus it comes under rochdale council and not oldham, and in my view rochdale get a lot more passed building wise than oldham ever has.
  5. i dont get the scale of it and the open space. the scale of it isnt too dissimilar to the current ground, the open space???its being redeveloped on its own grounds, there for it aint affecting any open space. if that was his problem then why the hell do we have b&q where it is,which replaced westwood sports field, definately depriving all ages from competative sports. and why do we have the clayton viw, travel lodge and car forecourts running down the side of it. and to top it all off one of them was sat wearing his rugby shirt....oldham council stinks from top to bottom.
  6. how can he justify his thoughts and reasons then, when b&q was built on westwood running track. the town lost more than open space there didnt it??? they will just have to realise to scale it down slightly and maybe not make as much money out of it.
  7. if the owners decide thats it,had enough cut losses and leave, and worst case scenario we go bump and the ground closes,so on and so forth. bp would be knocked down by a property developer and planning permission would be sort for housing. your probably looking at a mixed site of houses and flats.say for arguments sake 400 dwellings, that alone will give you more traffic problems as it will be daily, plus there will be families moving in which will impact on local schools and so on. so the nimbys are going to lose out eventually. its just a shame that the officers are so short sighted and in my opinion havent been impartial.
  8. why tameside???? you could just as easily say middleton,as the location isnt too far from bp and theres lots of tics fans in middleton!! i was thinking around the a627m border od stakehill. or phone that farmer up,see if he still wants to sell, there is even massive sights around aerospace. the club will now realise they have to go it alone, and stuff the council
  9. thats great news.just got in so its made my day. if they approve that heres hoping the rest will follow. hope someone takes a picture of the nimbys faces.be a reet good laff that would.
  10. gary kelly big joe all the promotion winning side kenny clements and anybody else connected to oafc who has done well for us over the years.
  11. oh aye much better.hahahah like having to brush the snow off the rochdale road end before games, that was a killer. and the constant worry at the back of the chaddy that the floor would collapse at any moment,it was soooooooooooo springy back then.lol
  12. i have heard similar in the past regarding players. if the club doesnt want them for whatever reason they do offer them less, leaving them no option but to leave. the only exception to that was david eyres. i also heard haining wanted to play for scotland, and at some point wanted to play in the spl for a top team, but to leave just because a better player came in and threatened his captancy is pathetic. it should of spurred the lad on to want to prove he was the right candidate. but at the end of the day i still wouldnt boo him just because he left. neither would i boo irwin for going to united or barrett for going to villa,or fitz hall or anybody else for that matter. yes goading and winding up players is part and parcel of the game, but you have to draw a line sometimes.
  13. never understood it really, anybody that has played well for our club and left us for greater things,or because they wanted a change will never get booed or goaded by me. the dennis irwin thing is crazy. its like if will haining returns against at some point will he get the abuse and jeering,he was here for 8 years and was a decent player. it only spurs the player on to think, right ill show you lot what your missing and backfires on us. a great example of this was a few years back the first time i met george hamilton(oafclover)at stockport away.game was quite good, cracking banter, county get a corner and aaron wilbraham is at the far post...george stands up and starts yelling at him"wilbraham, your a f,ing ,..f,off"!!! the ball comes in,wilbraham heads hope celebrates then turns round and gives us the finger, and me and mike sat there in stoney silence until half time, with me thinking why oh why didnt ya keep ya mouth shut. the only time i sort of understand goading players is like robbie savage, leaving brum to be nearer wales, then signing for blackburn!!!
  14. get rid of thompson and crossley, and allot and maybe kalalal. you cant loan trttman out after his performances, wouldnt be fair. greegan can play in midfield, has done for a lot of his playing time,so i would be tempted to farm out a midfielder. if we bring anyone in then yeah,a striker,as hughes wont do much before christmas, and davies may get injured. i think there is money there, they have made massive inroads of our debt, and were not losing anything like the money we was,if the ambition is there they will give shez the funds.
  15. never mind eh ronald.you have another quick game saturday to get over losing two on the bounce. im sure the players and fans will understand that.hows zola by the way...still prolific.hahahahah
  16. so i take it you dont want shez out tonight then eh kyle.lol
  17. he could of bought an electronic one from costco.five drum pads and 2 cymbal pads, pair of sticks and a learn how to drum guide. bargain i would say at £99
  18. i have a 5 piece kit.quite nice it is too.so if you need any help in how to play correctly let me know. if not just do a google search fro drum lessons.if you aint got rythm you wont play a drum.
  19. does it really matter if its in 34 35 or 36/7 appearances...hes a stiker who knows how to score. that said a striker isnt enough,we need to ship one or both of allott or kalalal out, they arent capable of fighting us out of this mess were in. we need some steel in there, someone who is willing to roll up there sleeves and get stuck in. who i dont know....but we need new faces who can fight.
  20. just as a matter of interest....what butty did you have.....lol
  21. results......that is what we need a few results. we ca pass it nice or ugly, hoof it or not.have 157 shots on goal(obviously exaggerated)but if the ball dont hit the onion bag your goosed. im sick of the manager bemoaning our lack of cutting edge and clinical finishing. at the end of the day he's the only one who can change things and get someone in who knows where the net is. if davies is a natural winger then why the hell are we trying to turn him into a striker.....playing people out of position doesnt work. there is time to redeem ourself on tuesday against tranmere, and 4 points from 7 wont look bad. but time is fast running out, people who say they dont mind us losing 1-0 because were not getting thumped are just crazy. 33 games left with us needing to win at least half of those......and i honestly dont see where a win is comming from.
  22. i cant comment on the game as i didnt go,and havent seen any highlights,if there were any. however i just know shez's comments will be like....we lack a cutting edge, were not clinical enough in front of goal......well thats stating the obvious yet again, however js is the only one who can change it.ricketts has gone, and if he has the bottle he will get rid of others also.but a goal scorer is a must. we cant pin all our hopes on a has been striker who hasnt played for 3 years and who isnt fit.
  23. leon clarke pawell abbot at huddersfield, sure ritchie will help us out.lol jevons also and whats hayter upto, not really doing out with donny is he??? or maybe like has been said the money saved will now mean we can offer beresford and hazell season long deals.... one things for sure, with him going out on loan shows shez wont stand any messing and if your not doing it your gone!!
  24. thats all it is....a list of managers off the top of my head who are out of work. i didnt say i wanted any of them did i. it was in response to coco's lack of naming a replacement.....sheez.
