i am an eternal optimist,my glass is always half full. however nights like tonight,2-0 down in a pi$$ pot cup to a team lower down than us and were supposed to be playing a strong team,it really makes you wonder doesnt it. i have every faith and confidence in shez and tommy wright,however on this form were in for a relegation fight,and i only hope there isnt any knee jerk reactions if we end up losing this one.

i have every confidence in shez getting it right eventually. our problems have been a revolving door at the entrance since dowie,too many players in and out as has been mentioned and not given chance to gel as team. it isnt an excuse its fact.think shez may bring in a loanee or two shortly.and if crossleys confidence has gone,bring pogs in and take him out of the firing line so to speak,but then again he needs help from the four in front of him doesnt he.

the singers in the chaddy are great,and have great chants,however the drum is spoiling a lot of peoples experience at games. we have just had the opening game of the season,and people are moaning now about the drum,what will it be like halfway through the season. if people feel so strongly about it and dont want it,dont moan on here,email the club and do something about it. after all the backing the owners have given shez for this season,i doubt they would be too happy if people were staying away because of a drum.

how about this for on the odd occasion we lose a game....

have you not considered the fact he was wrongly accused,of doing something he clearly didnt,and the club didnt stand by him. that is why he probably hasnt renewed his 4 season tickets. if the drummer was sat next to me and my son and i couldnt enjoy the game i would ask him to move,if he wouldnt and i got a load of abuse i would inform the stewards,and when they didnt do anything i would then send a letter to the club. people arent saying they dont want a drum,they just want it done in a proper manner,and he should be given a seat accordingly.

i do hope that isnt a racist comment,hahahah always tentative affairs these games,second half we will be all over them like a cheap suit

cant see it being fowler but you never know.has local buisness interests and its not like he needs the money is it. if not then who else do we have ideas about..... also heard leon constantine is having trials with leeds!!! least we could pay him.

its his agent pulling the strings not porter. if we pay him what he wants,and he resigns,then he bags 15 or so goals by christmas the club could cash in then,selling him to a championship side. there for we get compo. the club can put whatever demands into his contract,like he only leaves before the end of his contract if he goes to a english club,so if he doesnt and he stays the two years he can go for nothing then,or we sell him for a fee before the deadline is up. considering he has been telling the directors he wants to stay then does this i would call his bluff and not offer him a penny more.

you cant knock him for posting his opinions,whether they are right or wrong its his opinion. thankfully racism in football isnt as bad as it used to be,for instance in the 80's people actually threw bananas onto the pitch,and you had monkey chants!!! but anyone who thinks it doesnt still go on to some degree are very naive. boshel,branston,bonner,clegg,allott,mcniven all got the boo boy treatment,boshells was by far the worse.

number 2 for me marshy is nice an all that,but would you really settle for sloppy seconds!!!

the people of oldham,barring the 6k who go to bp every other week dont give a stuff about our football team,just like the 700 rugby fans dont care,people of oldham havent give a damn about sport in our town for a good long time. so with that in mind we should make the best stadium available and do our utmost to fill it with latics and away fans. success is the only way to get fans back,this season we are supposedly 61% up on season tickets from last season.the price has risen so why are they up??? because of the football played by the team as a direct result of shez being manager.so if that is the standard,next season we should see another significant rise.

actually they have just knocked down around 3k houses around edward street and suthers street,meaning no complaints from residents as there arent any,buy the land off the developer and sell them bp,that way everyone wins. 2 mins from werneth station,5 mins from m60 junctions,on major bus routes from oldham and manchester could be just what the owners are looking for. bp is very nostalgic and has lots of memories,but its decrepid,old fashioned,acoustically dead,we cant even get a scoreboard working.complaints from residents on a daily basis,apart from the team it hasnt got anything going for it.

If planning permission was refused,i think it would be the final nail in the coffin as far as the owners are concerened. From there time here they have managed to stableise the club,nearly wiped out the debt,and managed to get the fans fav as manager with time and money to build what we all hope will be a fantastic side to take us back to the promised land. So i would have to say,if permission was refused in order to keep the owners at the club would fans support building a new stadium away from bp. I know they tried with ferny field farm,but that wasnt ideal. but the only way to survive as a football team on gates of 6k a week is to have the all singing all dancing stadium which generates cash 24/7 Discuss...

been to a damn sight more than 5 matches in 2 years. on his day he is a very good player with good vision and passing,however this playoffs has just highlighted how lacklustre he is. you would of thought being an ex lasher he would have been well up for knocking them out,however he got himself booked with silly fouls in both games early on,and that made him a passenger as he couldnt get stuck in. he destroyed bradford singlehandedly,if he can do that every game he would be a legend.

open your eyes man haining is more bothered about his wedding than anything else at the moment. he isnt a leader or a talker.he got ripped apart by cheltnhams strikers. gregan although a lot slower,has good positioning and can head the ball away 20-30 yards.1st leg and today the reason they kept geting through was because we were playing the offside trap on the half way line,which is always risky.the players obviously talked about it at half time but blayney wasnt alert enough to make it work. wellens will go to the championship!!! you havin a laff. 5 good performances in 2 seasons,not championship material is it.

haining porter and warne are all out of contract. porter will go and we will get money from tribunal,haining will go as he believes he is bigger than us. warne will want to stay,however not sure if shez will want him too.not really had a good goal return from all the effort he puts in. mcdonald can go,how many needless fouls did he commit today when he came on,liddell will prolly leave,charlton may retire. i fully expect a new look team for next season focusing more on passing football,and a will and desire to win,instead of people bottling it when they realised we may go up and they wouldnt be good enough.
