  1. Are we wearing shirts with poppies on this weekend ? to be auctioned off to raise funds for the poppy appeal. If not why not, has the club missed another oppurtunity to gain positive exposure and do something for our heroes past and present !!
  2. I've read a fair bit of this thread and i feel that there have been quite a few suggestions made by some which would be worth further investigation if the club were interested ! when i attended the forum at radcliffe school a number of weeks ago the main thing i came away with was that Simon Corney was asked was he in it for the money and he answered yes !! some would say well he's never going to make money out of oldham athletic ? and there right, but he can make money out of selling land or developing land in conjunction with others, well that's what there doing now FACT. Whilst i acknowledge we probably wouldn't be around anymore without the TTA it is laughable that this thread goes on about the club promoting itself better and trying to get people to attend the games, there not interested because as i said earlier i firmly now believe that land development is far more important to the TTA so i hate to say it but i feel your suggestions will fall on deaf ears ! I also see a lot of discussion about the trust, when it was first set up to raise funds to keep our club alive it served a very useful purpose and a lot of people raised a lot of money, the problem now tho is that a small minority of people are using the trust as an ego trip and i feel it no longer serves the fans and has now just become in Barry a mouthpiece of the TTA rather than the fans. What we should be worried about is what will happen when the land has gone, were in Failsworth and TTA are gone, what is plan b when we do have to promote the club to keep afloat ?? Rich you know me this is not a dig at you personally as i know you have the best interest of the club at heart but the person who represents the fans on the board let's you and other members of the trust down and the trust i feel does not represent the fans no longer as i'm sure this is represented in membership numbers ?
  3. As a long standing season ticket holder i won't be put off by what we see on the pitch because if i did that i would have stopped going years ago ! we support our club because we love it and yes there are ups and downs and usually more downs ! but it's not that long ago we were asked to pay more for our season tickets if we wanted to see a better product ! which we all did and the better product ? i'm still waiting for it ! So my point is don't ask me to pay anymore than i already do. KTF
  4. Thanks for your continued support, onwards and upwards OTiD
  5. Shez as a player awesome, as a boss he's let players rule the roost and that never wins you anything, bring somebody in to instill some discipline asap, 9 game season left OTiD
  6. Went today and we were pretty poor to say the least, first time i've heard shez out actually sung by a fair few, his time is up for me in fact it was a few weeks ago and for all you that don't want him out here's a picture for you that i took just before i left
  7. I've been standing/sitting in the chaddy since 1980 ish and although i want my team to gain promotions and be successful it's more about being entertained and seeing 100% effort from those wearing the shirt. So some of the managers mentioned in this thread i would have wanted out ie - Talbot, Moore and Warnock because there style of football was :censored:e, don't get me wrong it may well have served a purpose but it wasn't entertaining. Shez claims to want to play the game the right way and sometimes we try to but more often than not this season i've walked out of the chaddy thinking what a pile of :censored:e that was and your never sure what performance your going to get each week ! So we might be in the top six but can you really say we've been entertained consistently ? No it's been mostly dire !
  8. I'll be renewing out of habit ! but i would like a change in management, before next saturday please
  9. Spot on real, i didn't really fancy us before the game yesterday after some of our performances in the last few weeks but yesterday the TEAM showed they are capable of being competative in this league if only we could produce it week in week out. Great day yesterday enjoyed it immensely. OTID
  10. Pre season friendly in Hungary, bring it on
  11. The club hands out life bans for incidents like we saw tonight maybe neither of them should play for us again LOL
  12. Because its not all ticket most won't bother buying a ticket in advance, i wouldn't be surprised if we managed to pull neary the thousand !
  13. Rich, i know one of the lads in the group and it was handbags blown all out of proportion i can' believe so much has been written about it lol, by the way didn't see you there ?
  14. Although i don;t condone fighting, whoever called the club to complain or whatever about saturdays handbags is avin a laugh aren;t they If they felt threatened by that they need to stay at home in front of the fire !
  15. My mine gripe today was that our manager stood and watched Hereford run riot in the first half and did absolutely nothing, says a lot to me, at least it was a new ground for most of us
  16. It certainly was a point gained today but to be honest that type of performance we've been churning out for weeks, our midfield sit too deep and offer no support to our front two, whoever they are. The only way we were going to score today was with something special.
  17. Surely if Lidds didn't play we should play Taylor on the right ?? Or is that too obvious
  18. Shame on you Mark for double booking yourself
