I don't want him sacked (yet) but he's brought 7 or 8 players in and still not fixed the midfield and right back issues. We needed 2 or 3 nailed on starters not the likes of Hammond who could be decent in 12 months or Conlon who's was decent 2 years ago. Too much reliance on crocked or past it ex EFL players when we see good young players in other teams who are better! Absolute joke if we miss out on the playoffs.
Midfield is horrific - still not seen anything from Conlon. Don't really blame McGahey as he's not a midfield player especially for home games with 3 centre backs behind him!Would have tried Gardner and Hammond second half for those two.
Not sure on Conlon - apart from Barnet he's provided nothing and is another who can't run. Hope that's just match fitness and he improves but it's a worry at the minute.
True but he's brought in Stones, Conlon, Walker, Sachdev, Hammond and Garner when we should have brought in 3 nailed on starters. His recruitment has been poor so far.
Most of the squad aren't good enough BP. Luckily 8-10 are out of contract at the end of the season but bar Stones the recruitment of MM has been just as bad as Unsworth's. We should still make the playoffs but at the minute we're nowhere near being good side even at this level.
Saw a bit of a practice game on the pitch today and the only change was Lundstram for Sutton with Hammond playing more central in front of Conlon and Sheron. Only saw 5 minutes so they could have changed it!
Missed the Barnet game so even more puzzled! Right back and midfield is still not right and with the right signings we'd have easily got top 3. Still might but just shows how crap this league is.
Billy Johnston would have been a great player but never fully recovered from a broken leg courtesy of dirty barsteward Dickie Rooks (I think) from Middlesbrough.
Would have liked him here - good options up front with Dallas and Garner coming in but don't think we've resolved the midfield and wide options which cost us in home games.
