  1. On a slightly different tack I was a bit concerned about the amount of irate gesturing between players and particularly the bench. Maybe nothing, but to loose a dressing room at this early stage would not be good.
  2. Pass and move would be a start. Oxford were always receiving the ball in space, latics always received the ball under pressure.
  3. Just wonder what exactly have they been working on in pre-season.
  4. I see what you are saying BP, but this two games in a week nonsense really anoys me. Look at tennis player regular 3, 4 5 hours (both mental and physical and no where to hide; with only a day off between matches). Those guys are super fit. Footballers should cope easily.
  5. Back to topic - we don't need Ripley after that keeping display, get a cheap No2 and spend some money on decent midfield and striker.
  6. Pointless thread, this. Erwin has gone and Shez appears to show no interest in Baxter, who has hardly covered himself in glory since he left.
  7. Maybe, but hardly a boost to the lad who has got to put a shift in. Just get behind the lad, not his fault that he is not Ripley. Any way, just imagine if Ripley did return and did not live up to expectation, what a lot of s**t he would get on here.
  8. I have just spoken to the ticket office and the Interactive seating plan is now available for specific match tickets. There is the small problem that the season ticket interactive plan does not agree with the single ticket plan, but I am assured that two of us will not be fighting over one seat. The young man I spoke to was most helpful and I am sure he wil attempt to fix this anomally. As to the small section of the RRE, I have no idea of the cost.
  9. Just checked again using FireFox, the browser I used last year to get tickets, and if you want a season ticket, then you are directed to the 'Interactive Seating Plan' (IAP) and can select a seat. If you want single tickets you do not get the option to use the IAP. So nothing to do with Flash. As I said pretty crap. I do not feel like setting ou 1/2 an hour early to queue at the ticket office, probably in the rain, to choose a suitable seat. Just a retrograde step by the club.
  10. I see you are angry again. A bit of civility would go a long way. How am I supposed to know about Chrome - as I don't use it.
  11. Just tried Chrome - does not work. e-Ticketing is now CRAP.
  12. Agree Safari does not work, but Fire fox did. The difference this time is that you do not get an error, but are taken directly to a selection box that simply allocates a seat. perhaps I will try Chrome (what a fag).
  13. Last year one could choose a specific seat via the interactive seating map. This no longer seems possible, so allocated to seat that is rubbish. Anyone else had this problem, if so any solutions? I have emailed ticket office, but doubt will be fixed before Saturday.
  14. On the subject of badges this a Supporters Club Lapel badge circa 1958.
  15. Let’s face it this election result was not an endorsement of Corbyn’s ideology it was simply his cynical exploitation of human nature. Alexander Fraser Tytler (1747-1813), ‘A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the Public Treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the Public Treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by dictatorship’. Pensioners, afraid to lose the winter fuel allowance and the triple lock (irrelevant if Corbyn had won as inflation would soar). Pensioners and their offspring thinking that everyone else should pay for their care. The public sector employees looking forward to ‘free collective bargaining’ and soaring wages (when they are not on strike). The pensioners would like as tis would push both inflation and wages beyond the 2.5%. Minimum pay of £10 per hour (for those left with a job). The students looking forward to no tuition fees. Talking of students Churchill is reputed to have said, “If a man is not a socialist by the time he is 20, he has no heart. If he is not a conservative by the time he is 40, he has no brain.” That seems to be supported by the latest brain research using MRI scans. “The mid-20s or “25” is just an average age given as checkpoint for when the brain has likely become mature.” “The prefrontal cortex doesn’t have nearly the functional capacity at age 18 as it does at 25.” “Those who are poor at assessing risk may have underdeveloped prefrontal regions. The ability to turn down immediate gratification for long-term rewards is a result of this region.” Awaits abuse!
  16. It was also simple bribary, pretty cynical really. Problem is, Jezza and his mates will tout this as acceptance of their Marxist/Trot ideology.
  17. Ulster Unionists have always been Tory and the SDLP traditional Labour, nothing new here.
  18. I think there may be some truth in that. I also think it was to dilute out the true Eurosceptics and make life easier to compromise on the BREXIT deal.
  19. Having managed to grab the 'Labour' brand they will certainly hang on. It's a hard left wet dream.
  20. Highest tax rate in Europe: 1. UK 57% (45% income tax + 12% NI) 72% for earnings between £100,000 - £123,000 (40% higher rate tax + removal of tax free personal allowance + 12% NI) 2. Austria 55%
  21. The problem is under Labour the deficit will be larger and thus the debt will increase at an even faster rate. How does labour plan to turn the deficit into a surplus and thus reduce debt? I do not believe you can only tax the rich, there needs to be some tough budgeting and across the board tax increases. Also, there does need to be a realistic plan to tackle funding care for the elderly.
