  1. Good result for us last night. I bet Wigan are rubbing their hands in anticipation of our visit on Saturday. I fancy us to get someting. Not a tonking I hope.
  2. Three wins and 3 draws should do it, we can lose the other 4. I hope.

  4. Not sure about Doyle on at the start, I think he’s only got 45’ in him and I fear they may sit deep without him 2’nd half. Better to have him terrify tired defenders.
  5. We need 12 - 14 from the remaining games. Doesn’t matter how they come.
  6. Oh yes, but I don't want to go back there. I want to up, up and away to the Prem. Hope I live long enough!
  7. Therein lies the problem - lower wages equates to inferior quality players. To get out of any of these leagues, at the right end, you need better quality players than the rest of the league.
  8. Use a heavy roller to flatten the bl**dy thing.
  9. See your point, but I think more likely to grind out draws, if we could only keep a clean sheet. For wins we need two up front.
  10. New lad plus Davies up top and only 2 of Pringle Byrne and Gardner, plus Fane as spoiler?
  11. These are the facts: The proposed takeover of the Club by Abdallah Lemsagam has moved closer following further productive talks with the EFL. Simon Corney and lawyers acting for Abdallah are now working to get over the final hurdle involving discussions with the previous owners. Once achieved and the necessary documentation is forwarded to the EFL we hope that we will be in a position to announce completion. The process has been complicated and taken longer than envisaged, however the EFL have continued to be supportive throughout and helped towards what now appears to be a successful resolution for all parties. We would like to thank supporters for their patience during this period. We have worked as quickly as possible to ensure the transition could be completed, however, understand the frustration of fans over this period. This is a significant moment in the club's history and we are certain supporters will appreciate that the potential long term benefits this can bring are far more important than the short term delays we have suffered.
  12. I think you will see the club statement did not say this. The statement, in fact, simply implied the EFL were not the block to progress, but the agreement with the previous owners was. In other words no change.
  13. In old money. By June we will be in the 4th Division (if you want to use old terms) unless something is done. Why be so upset, are you one of the Amigos?. Just be glad I am not AL.
  14. If I was AL I'd give Corney an co 24hrs to sort it so I could invest some real money in this window (assuming I had it to spend), otherwise I'd tell them to forget it and I just may be back, or not, to buy a 2nd division club in June.
  15. So what is this based upon? Nothing official, as far as I can see.
