  1. I think the £2 entrance was a massive success and should def be repeated as long as season ticket holders being happy about it, which i am. We would have had a crowd of around 3000 if it was full price in of which 2000 would have been season ticket holders leaving 1000 paying on the day at an average of say £15 = £15000 on the gate. There was 8500 there last night so after the season ticket holders (of which most that i know still paid the £2) 6500 paying £2 = £13000. Local businesses was asked to give £500 or £1000 which a lot did and other gave what they could, so we wasnt down on the gates. If anything there should be a little over from what the businesses have gave to possibly fund doing the same again. I know some might not come back again but i think if we charged £5 in for all our remaining home games, except Sheff Wed and M.K.Dons, which i think will have big crowds anyway, we could get 4000 paying on the gate which along with 2 or 3 businesses each game sponsoring us would generate the same cash as a 3500 gate paying full price.
  2. Does anyone know of any pubs around the ground that have have sky? I usually go in Rickys bar but dont think they have it there.
  3. Been an armchair fan for years but only be going and paying much intrest in the club for the past 5 or 6 years. I presumed we owned all the playing fields.
  4. Not sure if this as been mentioned yet but here we go. Presuming the club owns all the playing fields around BP. If the land at BP is worth 20m and the lacaster club 3m, could we sell of the lancaster club and half of the land around BP (say the car park, the ground itself and behind the RRE) which should raise around 13m build a scaled down ground on the playing fields next to BP and use the land across chaddy way aswel for five a side pitches ect.
  5. How much land do we actually own around BP? do we own all the playing fields? and what size is the land we own in acres?
  6. I think to do something similar for the Tranmere game the prices would have to be lower than £10 to get the stay aways back again. For £10 they could stay in the pub, in the warm and watch the game with a few pints. I think £5 would be a better deal, if we could get businesses to cover the costs. How about having something on the turnstiles on the night of the carlisle game where any fans that wish to can still pay the full £20 entrance fee. Ive read a few posts by people who have already bought there tickets and have said they will not claim the refund so maybe there is people who go who will be willing to still pay the full £20.
  7. From that reply it looks like we will not be able to appeal and that Failsworth is dead in the water. Our only option know is either re-devolpe BP, which we dont have the funds to do or find a new site fast.
  8. Im all for a ground share with Rochdale. Just off the 627M to the right just befor the M62 as you head towards Rochdale would be a perfect place.
  9. Do you think rickys will finaly put a stripper on for us this year?
  10. If this is the case why didnt we send them out on loan offering to pay half or three quarters of there wage and then just release them in the summer when there contracts are up. If worthington was on £1300 and we paid £975 of that over 22 weeks it would cost us £21450 without having to pay win, assist and goal bonus.
  11. to bed. Has to be up early for training with mighty blues.
  12. Burnley linning up a 750k bid for Taylor but face competition from the donkey lashers. http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=1...;mid=2118576569 Got to admit id snap there hand off at that price.
  13. All this talk about the sexism scandle as reminded me of a clip i seen, prob in the mid 90s. When doing the half time analysis he use to put a tape in video recorder to show highlight and i remember him doing this only for the tape to be of the adult verity. I cant remember tho if this was actualy during a game or if it happened off air or even if it was just a sketch he took part in. Does anybody remember the clip or know if it was during a game?
  14. Id be happy to let him go for £250k, although he as looked good the past few games i think over the past 18 months he as been average and is not going to improve anymore at latics. Although i think £250k is a little low (id value him at £300-350k) we need the money. We have got enough cover on the wing and as a striker i dont think he offers that much. We could use around half the money on signing morais and a replacement striker. I think we could hoskins or donaldson from crewe for around 100k.
  15. Where would we stand if city sent him the other way as part of the deal? not that barca would want him but would it go to a tribunal to decide what he was worth?
  16. I was really annoyed at this when i heard they might have been played at OT but over the past couple of months the idea as grown on me. The club is a finacial mess and if we get there i think we would be close to selling out our allocation instead of taking 12-15k to somewhere like the Millenium. I dont think for one minute that there will be 35k latics fans there but everyone who goes as a neutral from the northwest will be in the latics section which will give us around 500k more than if we was at the Millenium. I for one have loads of mates who are not latics fans but if we get there they will all be at OT supporting us that day. I obviously would love it to be at Wembley if we got there but i think OT is the best replacement for us.
  17. Im going walsall but not carlisle, will miss the carlisle due to work. Will miss either huddersfield or dagenham as well but i know which one ill choose to miss.
  18. Personaly i think £20 is expensive, you can drive yourself for that price but i understand that if there is only a few people on the coach they will end up losing money. They should charge £20 but if the coach ends up full they all get a £5 voucher back for the next game.
  19. Not sure how much its changed but a couple of seasons ago it was around £22m + around £700k for each game shown live. I think they get about 500k for each place depending on where they finish.
  20. I think £10 on the gate is a good idea with a £5 voucher given to anybody who attends the brighton game or who buys a ticket in advance for the charlton game. I also think they should hand a couple of thousand vouchers out to the secondary schools around Oldham offering £5 entry for kids in the RRE.
  21. Id carry on supporting the new Oldham Athletic, think it would be an amazing journey trying to get back to the football league espacially if the trust got more involved in the club and it was owned by the fans.
  22. Thats because he played a 5-5 formation and had no position for a striker.
