  1. I quiet enjoy both the league cup and the JPT. We was close to getting to Wembley in the JPT last season and as fan that prob would have been the best moment supporting Latics of the past 10 years. I do think the league cup should not include any teams taking part in European competitions.
  2. He still looked good in the charity match last month, better than we currently have anyway.
  3. Although thinking back to stuff that was said that night Reid also mentioned that he had always played cricket every pre season and picked up niggling injuries which he carried in to the season but he was going to give it a miss this preseason so he would be fitter for the start of he season. So maybe this a something to do with his form so far this season.
  4. I was sat on the same table as reid and kmb at the end of season awards do. They was telling us that this club is run so badly from top to bottom, they said the chairmen as not clue how to run a football club and the manager and coaching staff don't know what they are doing. Reid said something along the line of "i know im not a great player and i struggle to lose weight after an injury but im far better player than the way im made to look in this team, you could messi in that team and he would struggle to score goals" he went on to say that the team talk was just telling the defenders to play it wide and then put the ball in the box from the half way line. He also said that he couldn't remember the last time one of our strikers received the ball to their feet inside the penalty area. At the time I just thought of it as two players that was bitter at not getting new contacts but when you look how they have started the season as well both doing well preseason and the way we are playing this season I think they had valid points.
  5. If the payments are being sent through PayPal then maybe anybody that doesn't have any spare cash to donate could put a couple of old/unused items they have on eBay and have the fuds sent straight to the latics for life account. I had a problem with eBay and PayPal and had my account closed (still not found out the reason) but I'm more than happy to hand over some cash to laticdickovarmy or anybody else that will send it through PayPal on my behalf.
  6. Id say £20 adults £5 kids then £10 season ticket holders. Id also say do an offer for £45 for the cup game and the first 2 home league games (depening on who they are against) Sheff wed will bring 1500-2000 whatever the price so we can get maximum cash out of them while keeping prices down for our fans as any wanting to go would hopefully take up the offer of £45 for 3 games.
  7. From my workings out we have took around the same amount as last season, 2011/12 average adult price was £316 x 1454 tickets sold is £459,464 kids tickets was £50 x 332 sold is £16600 TOTAL £476,064 2012/13 average adult price £316 x 1471 sold is £464,836 kids tickets £10 x 767 sold £7670 TOTAL £472,506 so £3558 down on last season which we will prob take between now and the start of the season.
  8. Just a thought but maybe the club as got a verbal deal with wes. They was going to wait till the end of the season before he had his op so maybe they agreed he could have it in feb if he stayed with us for next season. Seems a bit pointless for the club to agree for him to have an operation that would rule him for months if he was going leave when he came back from it. I know he needed the op but it could have waited till the end of the season.
  9. The problem with that (as mentioned earlier in the post) is that the most of the extra 1000 that buy would normaly pay on the day so even tho the club would make and extra 5k they would have hardly any pay on the day fans. We need an idea that the pay on the day fans will take up as well as a couple of thousand stay away.
  10. We could also add the option of pay what you like for your ticket (as long as its above the said amounts). Fc united done something similar last season where you pay what you like as long as its above £90, the average paid for each ticket was £160. I'm sure there would be some fans who have paid £300 a season for years and would be happy paying £200 even if we did hit 7000 sales.
  11. One thing not mentioned is that there will be very few pay on the day home fans as they would have all bought a season ticket. Say we have an average of 1200 pay on the day home fans x £17 is around 20k a game x 23 is £460K which we would lose from pay on the day fans as well as the £575k we get from season ticket sales. So I'd guess we would need close to 10000 taking up the offer at £100 a ticket.
  12. There is train from Victoria at 2pm that gets to mills hill at 2:10. If you get a taxi fom there you will be at bp for 20 past.
  13. Think I'm going to buy two or three tickets and take a couple of people who would not normally go. Hopefully they will return for the odd game or more afterwards. Even tho I felt let down about the announcement I think the club have done the right thing. I received 4 text messages telling me about the announcement and couldn't possible miss all the hype on fb and twitter. If the club just came out with the deal I prob would have had to wait to check the site myself to find out. I'm sure there is loads of fans who have only heard about the deal because of the hype beforehand, people who would not normally check the website on a daily basis.
  14. Not the news I was expecting but great idea and deal. Think I can make all 5 games. Don't want to criticise but maybe they could make it pay what you can afford but with a min of £15. I'm sure there would be a few who would have been going to all or most anyway, myself inc, that would pay a little more.
  15. Not sure if it's been mentioned but the m62 east bound between j10 and j11 will be closed from 10pm to 7am so best take the eastlancs on the way back. http://www.highways.gov.uk/roads/23948.aspx

  17. Just sent you my mobile number, just give me a ring on fri.
  18. Yeah sure, I can take them to anfield with me for you if you want or you get them from me at another game or collect from my house, in Milnrow.
  19. Will they let people take them in or would I have to do it on the quiet
  20. I have 500 blue balloons with the old badge printed on them (they was for something I was going to do for the club a while back that didn't end up happening) if anybody wants any of them let me know and you can have as many as you like for free.
  21. Does anybody know of any coaches leaving from Middleton? Or any that would pick up and drop off there for 10 people?
