  1. furman set up goal #1 and came on half way through 1s half allowing ALEX "i wont pass and move despite having tons of ability" :censored: to slot in alongside Greegs. We certainly improved. Stephens looked very assured on the ball and is the first CM since kilkenny whio actually drops deep to ask for the ball which is refreshing, though I'm glad we won yday cos it should give him a good run in team which he defo needs as game certainly passes him by at times. not criticising as that is to be expected from a lad who even at Bury never got a decent run of games in a row.
  2. parker is a lazy sod who seems to want to stroll though the next 5years of his playing career picking up a cheque with very little effort or desire to achieve things
  3. not his choice. maybe the club will convince 'dale to part with a little bit of cash by saying we want him back,
  4. 4-5-1 Pogs Eardley Gregan Hall Armstrong Taylor Murray Wellens Kilkenny Eyres Porter (never rated him that highly tbh and is a **** but goals that season w/o penalties was immense) Subs. Grant Hill Trotman Sheridan Liddell Hughes Abbott
  5. EYRES - player of the noughties best player in latics blue however wud be wellens (arsehole) or chris armstrong (one season of eyresy type determination with so much ability to go with it)
  6. flahavan :censored: black gregan ruubes (we need strength in middle cos we are being constantly outplayed with 2 in there as no 2 are strong enough) worthy furman stephens (playmaker) taylor ROAMING abbott heff pitch is narrow so give taylor a free roll. midfield can cover defensively allowing full backs to bomb. we need 3 in the middle w/o a doubt for now
  7. 1. that team is a average-good league1 side, how often have taylor abbott played 2geva in full fitness 2. it WOULD keep us up 3. i have been impressed wiv dale stephens but didnt go norwich so only in non-comp game ..... DID U GO?? 4. will we stay up if injuries are eased by jan 1st .... i say defo yes
  8. killer won the game at brighton for them with two assists and a goal ... outstanding in both games against us. he's been their best player since he won his place back in the team. why are people so bitter??
  9. i think worthy wud provide a much needed bite in the middle. w/o i'd play hold in CM but yep he's out too. also we shud hope (pray!) that Purdie will make a difference
  10. NOT ALL TICKET ... stupid in my book no doubt we'll get there and have people sat in our seats. how hard is it to take a trip down with £2 in ure back pocket (or a mate if u dont live in the manchester area)
  11. :censored: and casper are just far too static ... we were crying out for a :censored: MK DONS performance passing and moving and actually getting into the box on occassions !!!
  12. Flahavan Holdsworth Ruubes Gregan Hills Smalley :censored: Furman Taylor Pav Parker looks strong to me, but can't see it being that it's too perfect LOL. rumours about Pav no doubt correct and Taylor wont be ready
  13. FISH ?!?!??? average at best ... especially at right back and right midfield maybe he should be in CM with furman ... time will tell better than gregan ? HAHA !!! FISH .....
  14. none-existent today as always when confronted with a physical battle in bad conditions 96minutes of standing watching and looking at others tackle and create space ... pathetic ! he's our flat track bully (creative-wise) but we need a plan B when he looks that casper-ish after a few mins why oh why did we wait till 85th minute to bring on an un-warmed up Kieren Lee credit to furman reuben and the mighty SEAN GREGAN today .... we'd be bottom four this season w/o big lard arse !!
  15. I'm right behind him and all the lads, and tbf he has improved ... BUT !! the lad is atrocious at dominating his area, never comes for crosses unless there is no opposing challenger and has me on a knife edge everytime the opposition is deep in our half. thank goodness Ruuuuubes has regained confidence alongside el-capitano !! okay. hope he does well as he does show the odd decent stop but better than GF lmao. penney made a botch up there and we all know it.
  16. ffs !!! blind idiots ... Taylor is the one constantly creating the space for others ... numerous times he's played sheehan in on the left AND when he cuts in and nips past one or two just watch how they look scrambled looking where next to go or who to mark. Even out of form chrissy is INDISPENSIBLE we win 3 on trot as soon as he returns and people still saying crap like this !!!
  17. Lightweight ..., yes Poor game ... haha - TOSH !! he wasn't needed to be the grafter and we know he isn't that type of player. Okay he doesn't give us natural width, but I feel we get plenty enough of that from Chrissy T. the two CM's were fantastic 2nite at a immensely high tempo, which time after time gave casper the space behind there midfield. cutting in and with his usual superb passing and vision i couldn't have been any happier with the midfield. How can anyone criticise danny after his constant breaks and the vision he showed for the decisive goal. I know everyone is allowed their opinions BUT we don't need three tough aggressive midfielders, take danny out of that side 2nite and we wud hav seriously lacked that vital creativity from midfield.
  18. cracking post ... too much all-round doom and gloom. all the problems find their source with the unchallenged back 3 who are the non-performers. Gregan is simply too slow these days ... any team with a fast centre forward runs rings around our capitano. Brown, who anyone whose watched the monkeymen over the last few years knows, is far and away their star player, yet greegs and ruuubes allowed him to turn and have a shot 3 times before the goal went in - enough warning guys ... obviously not!! lets get a young CB and GK in on loan and watch the confidence flood through the team. right now if things stay the same YES we could be in a bit of trouble. but we DO NOT have the poor poor squad people 2nite are suggesting we do. KEEP THE FAITH!!
  19. Providing worthingtons fit ... will he go :censored: wide and accomodate furman or leave out the saffer and play casper ??? i think .... Not So Holdsworth Ruubes Greeegs Sheenan :censored: Furman Worthy Colbeck Blackman Pav Thats assuming Parker aint ready!
  20. exactly .... top half, only one defeat in league. Brand new team, changing every week as Penney tries to work out the best formula. 3 trips to capital returning 4 points. Dominated 2 games at home only to draw em cos of inspired GK / poor defensive errors. Star man aint hit top form and new striker while looking very decent aint quite got scoring boots on yet (still got 2goals in 6). We're not bottom half and are in the pack after 5 games. People keep saying no home wins since Valentines day .... BUT ... wot does that mean? only 2 of those league games featured the new look squad and manager, so all those stats are irrelevant PLEASE STOP MOANING AND BACK OUR LATICS ON FRIDAY .... yes a win is important but not as vital as some suggest. Give DP time and lets see. Keep The Faith !!!!!
  21. Holds it up great. Super first touch. Very clever link play, deft cushioned headers and chest downs ... all in all superb debut, looked like the player who terrorised us at BP when at Hud. Okay .. fair enough should hav layed it off to Byfield, but he looks a danger on the deck and from crosses ... i can see 15+ easy for him if fit I for one am very optimistic for this coming season !!
  22. Brill Eardley Gregan Hazell Glbert Smalley Worthington Furman Taylor Abbott Parker Subs: NewGK, Holdsworth, Whittaker, Byfield, o'gRADY
  23. have u even seen us this pre-season?? lets compare us to start of last season okay GK wise Penney has left us woefully short and Brill is lacking confidence. CB .... yes we need more depth and pace, but its the same defence that put us in the top 6 untill Shez left. Fullbacks, we now hav two natural left footers as well as Eardley with adequate cover. Wingers, we have Smalley a year on - and no pointer, with Holdsworth who's looks steady and possibly Purdie as well. As well as our star man on the left. CENTRE MIDFIELD. Barring Casper the midfield looks incredibly stronger, as oppose to two moderate static non-tackling sidewards passing blokes, we have two younger, hungrier players, one who's gonna put any pre-madonas into the stands and the other will be our player of the season IMO, this will be the stand out difference Up front .... no Hughes - okay fair enough, but hopefully we have a partenrship now and more of an aerial threat in Pav. Okay desperate for a CB with pace and a contender for the #1 shirt, but I for one am very optimistic and hope to enjoy watching some enterprising footy at BP this season
