  1. My ex Mrs used to work for him. He's a charming employer with impeccable business practices. I think that's what she said.
  2. Well he has played in Grimsby and Barrow so Oldham will look like Paris in the spring by comparison.
  3. I was there last week. Sadly didn't bump into Maurice Whittle's brother! Equally sad to hear he's not too good. One of my earliest heroes Maurice. Couldn't half strike a ball.
  4. Usually I would agree but to say Cellino likes talking to the press is something of an understatement.
  5. I agree, rightly player of the year last season. At least he lasted a year more than most winners of that accolade do.
  6. Aye. Never banned seating after Bradford did they. Despite the fact it takes way longer to evacuate (providing your not packed in like animals).
  7. Astonishing achievement and proof that we can all dream. Congratulations to the new champions.
  8. Some are also forgetting that he has yet to be recharged. The clock is ticking......
  9. Haha you've not got there yet have you. He meant the Bolton owner was out of the country not Sheridan.
  10. Good to see my mates lad on there - good if he made it. His dad once got invited for a trial at Dale scored 2 against their first team - following day manager got sacked and he never heard from them again. Hope his lad has more luck. I also really really hope Bailey Whalley's name rhymes.
  11. I'm not sure how Luis Suarez being a monumental bell end relates in any way to the incompetence of South Yorkshire police and their subsequent cover up. You clearly have an agenda, I don't think the rest of us necessarily buy into it but your point is noted. Move on. Please.
  12. Dover? Good to see a positive statement on the club's position. That should be the end of the matter.
  13. I'm not sure the pro Evans lobby (which includes me) are advocating we immediately rush out to sign him. I think what we are saying, and obviously I can't speak for others, is that, if those responsible for what goes on the pitch every week deem he would be an improvement on what we have them they should be allowed to make the effort to sign him. I felt the same last year when ha had served the punishment laid down on conviction, it's perhaps not terribly surprising that I feel the same now that conviction has been quashed.
  14. No - can't impose a longer sentence. Only if had been appealed as unduly lenient first time round. It wasn't.
  15. His hearing won't be in 2 months. The CPS has 2 months (maximum) to charge him. Any trial wouldn't be set until after that. I predict he will be innocent with no trial pending 2 months from now.
  16. You said he should be treated as you and I. I possess little footballing ability ergo chances of latics signing me are none. Therefore if he's treated like me we won't sign him. I clearly have no future in comedy either.
  17. Wow. Thick footballers, whatever next. I don't think Harry Kane's in Mensa glad we steered clear of him.
  18. Neither would I. Seems like a whole load of expense and trauma for all concerned given whichever way the verdict goes everybody just goes home at the end of it.
  19. It doesn't but there's a basic principle that somebody standing trial is presumed innocent until found guilty. As things stand he is innocent.
  20. So somebody standing trial is not innocent until found otherwise? When did that basic principle of English law change I must have missed it.
