  1. Agree with you there 'Arry, With Hartlepool fans saying they have some injury problems, Monday night is a must win, closeley followed by a visit to Hereord who have only won four games all season. It would be nice to sit here this time next week with an extra six points in the kitty before we start a reletively tricky few weeks with 3 out of our next 4 away games being against fellow promotion chasers, namely Scunthorpe (on a Tuesday night), Leicester and Millwall. I appreciate that there are some mixed views on the Windass signing but I think its bloody great and shows TTA's commitment to our promotion push. With Craig Davies looking lively when he came on at the Gay Farm, Byfield going back to Donny will hopefully stop the Hughesey debate and Deanno 2 (cos we've already got one, remember Mr Smalley) joining til the end of the season, Gregan looking back to his best last week, I feel there is real reason to look forward to the second half of the season with great optimism. Don't forget that we have not lost in the League since the 1st of November, so yes, lets kick on and turn the draws into wins. Life aint so bad after all, just ask Simon Grayson which position he would rather be in.
  2. Howdey Johnboy, Sorry mate no can do this trip ( ) Kyle has a county cup quarter final away to Birmingham (unless you can pick us up on the way lol). If you are running a trip to Leicester we will defo be on that lager fuelled vehicle mate (no dresses and no fighting though)
  3. Harry, I dare not show this topic to my wife otherwise you shall never, ever again be allowed to darken my doorstep. In reply to the original post, my OPINION, is that Greegs is consistantly better than Stam but Stefan never has and never will let us down when Shez needs him
  4. £15 adults £10 kids Kids under 7 free See you all there
  5. I can only echo the many, many touching and fitting tributes to a true, blue hero. I am proud and priveliged to have witnessed the pocket dynamo play and will take through my and my boys lives, the outstanding attitude Ernie had towards life. My heartfelt sympathies go to Ernies family in this devastating time. RIP Ernie, forever a Latics Legend
  6. Can't believe that somebody would not even go to Tics and request a refund, BUT i have relocated to the RRE and i DO NOT want a friggin drum banging in my ear game after game after game, even if he has got new methods. All i will say is that it is easy to say "move somewhere else" but i ask the question, would YOU move from your chosen seat if the guy with the drum sat next to you? I follow Tics home and away week after week, month after month, year after year and support my team vocally through thick and thin and i do not need a drum to get me going. Call me what you want but if i have that thing near me next season I will be the first to complain. Sing, cheer, clap, roar, chant has worked for years, we the fans can make the noise, we do not need a bloody drum. We all know the songs so just sing your hearts out, as me, my family and friends will for every game to show our true support for our Boys In Blue. Before anybody condems anybody else about the drum, put your hand on your heart and say that you would be happy and proud to have drummer boy sat in the very next seat to you for every home game next season.
  7. On the plus side that's the first Beardybus sorted for next season, Carlisle hear we come !!
  8. Spent the entire day (8:30 til 4:30) at Stalybridge Celtic watching my 9 year old in a footy tournement.(Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn) But at least he loved it (Played 9, won 3, drew 5, lost 1) Paul Scholes was there watching his young'un for a while and got mobbed by a multitude of dirty little scummers. Counting the days, hours and minutes to our first pre-season game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. What the ......... Am i reading this right mate !!!!!! Is you callin me a scummer??????????????????????????????????????? Go wash your mouth out and i will deal with you tomorrow night (PS Wear a gumshield)
  10. Oldham can be a tough old place to live and that is why we love our tough old players. We've had Brian Kilcline and Darren Sheridan in years gone by and in recent times I am proud to say "WE HAD ERNIE". Strong as an ox and as fearless as a lion the Boundary Park faithfull eagerly awaited every Ernie challenge. To wear the famous Latics blue with such pride and passion, as Ernie did in every game, gives every Latics fan a warm glow and for that reason alone he will always be a Latics legend. Familes stick together through thick and thin and the extended blue family is right behind Ernie every step of the way. KEEP THE FAITH
  11. I echo your sentiments Mr Owl. Couldn't give a hoots about the doom and gloom mongers, they will all be in their little coven in the Ford Stand on saturday rubbing their hands and murmuring amongst themselves to decide who to hurl their abuse at. They are not happy unless they have something to moan about. They are the kind of people who would moan i they won the lottery and their numbers were not drawn out in their preferred order. Sheshhh!!! I am a very very proud English man and I wish every like minded Englishman a very happy St. Georges Day. BORN IN ENGLAND. LIVE IN ENGLAND. DIE IN ENGLAND
  12. As i said to you last night pal "WE IS READY!!!!!!!!!!!!" (especially my son Andy Richies Hairgel that i showed you the picture of, he will defo end up as someones bitch dressed in his outfit). Our frocks are at the ready Monsieur Beard, so 7 places please (Alan Groves Perm, Andy Richies Hairgel (plus two mates), Neil Adams Headband, Harry Dowds Green Shirt and Nava) possibly another one but i will confirm. Hope the weather will be kind otherwise we will all freeze OUR t*#& off
  13. Eight of us going down. Last year we parked at the ground (BIG MISTAKE) but were directed to a beltin pub. From the ground we turned right, down the hill and i think there was an Asda. Turn left and the pub is on your right about 600 yards down the road. About a 10 to 15 minute walk to the ground. The pub was massive with tellys everywhere that had the footy on (went in the Brewsters first but they had no tellys). The food has become legendary in our group as we sat with a Yeovil Yokel who advised us to have the fish and chips, quaintely knowm as Cod Almighty. When the plates arrived the fish was more like a whale, absolute top notch with a good atmosphere and quite a few Tics. Will be heading there again on Saturday, see you there for win number 8
  14. Definately CROSSLEY, No sorry i meant EARDLEY, Ooops that should have read LOMAX, Wrong again, i meant STAM, How silly of me, it was HAZZELL, What am i thinking, obviously GARY MAC, Then again, should have been KALALA, I remember now, had to be ALLOTT, Wrong again, i meant to say SMALLEY Hold it ive got it, HUGHESEY Darn it, i nearly forgot deffo DAVIES Oh bugger, i think ive messed this up. OK if i go for just one it has to be Beardy's dad for getting me to the most amazing game for many a moon
  15. Love to see a Tics win. My heart says 1-0 Tics with Hughesey crawling off the bench to nod in a late winner BUT My head says Everton 1-0 after we frustrate them for 74 minutes. Bloke i know who is in the Ex Everton Players Gang met up last week and they know we are taking 5,000 and expects 36,000/37,000. (kerrrr-ching) OWTB'sssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
  16. Just got back from Boundary Blues Xmas Party and Mathew was there. He got to the final of the "Jump On The Back Of A Player When The Music Stops" and Franny announced his win this evening on the box and got a huge round of applause. After the game, and collecting his prize, Alan Hardy was talking to Mathews dad and taking notes. Hope the Club are going to acknowledge his brilliant achievement through Mr Hardy.
  17. I am proud to say "I WAS THERE" but not half as proud as Simon, Simon and Danny will feel tonight. There are uncountable people that deserve huge thanks and all the plaudits that are thrown at them. BUT without the money of TTA who saved our wonderful Club once Mr M@@@@s nearly put us out of business we would not be on here celebrating. Please, please, please to the whole Latics community lets come up with some way of acknowledging what TTA's have done over the last few years, a page in the Chron, a pitchside presentation of something special, a huge party/marquee on the Tics car park........etc etc etc etc Come on guys we can do it for them, if we can all help a little to save our Club i am sure we can organise something for "The Saviours Of Oldham" (I'm going now cos i'm getting really, really giddy )
  18. Pity Shez is going to have to tweak the centre of defence this Saturday now that Trotters (Hence The Del Boy, sorry about that folks) got what sounded by Big Gordon on Latics World as a very harsh second yellow tonight for handball, van't knock his first yellow as he left Mr Wellens on his arriss. He has shown great patience since coming back from Halifax and has grasped his opportunity with both hands. Hope he comes straight back in after his one match ban. Perhaps Hazell in against Crewe then Del Boy back straigt after suspension.
  19. See Billy Big Wallet couldn't stop the mighty blues. Awesome again boys, just listened on Latics World. Bring on the Railwaymen
  20. Keep going all you fellow Tics. Its things like this that make you realise how proud we are to be BLUE (and tangerine). I'll be there with four others. Tell your Mum, tell your Gran, TELL THE WORLD. Together we CAN make a difference. TTA must see we feel their hurt BUT we will do whatever is needed to get our amazing Club where TTA and we want it to be. KEEP THE FAITH (and spread the word)
  21. As my good buddy Neil Adams Headband said, WE HAVE TICKETS. I entered the ballot and got the e-mail but my password letter went to NORTHAMPTON. When the letter was re-directed 3 weeks late i ang to complain and 4 weeks later they e-mailed to say i could buy some tickets, happy days, and i bought five for me (a very proud Cowboy), NeilAdamsHedband (a Bear), HarryDowdsGreenShirt (a Dolphin), Nava (i think a Jet) and my son Liutenant Pigeon (also a Cowboy). Tony Romo rocks and will throw us to the Superbowl, to be 16-24 down against the Bills LAST Sunday with 40 seconds to go and win 25-24, AWESOME. Should be a classic against the Patriots this Sunday as we are both five and zip. Can't wait for the game at Wembley Gooooooooooooooooo Cowboys PS I will obviously be a Dolphin for the day as the Giants are in our league
