  1. I have been saying for quite a while that something is wrong, that hasn't surfaced yet. But it will soon.
  2. I agree about Ward, also don't think that we have seen enough of Willoughby to give the lad a chance.
  3. Yep, agree with all that. We have a long list of under achievers. Sheron is no where near the top of it.
  4. 6 at the back and 4 up front it is then. Just hoof it.
  5. I think that Kitching has been very very lucky to stay in the team. And not just this last few weeks, when he has been truly awful. For a start, he can't defend, and never has been able to. He can't head a ball either. And most of all, he has no fighting spirit, grit or determination. Having a decent left foot when in advanced positions is not enough. What's more, the team is full of players who have no battling instincts, and when things start to go wrong have too little in their skills locker to change the course of a game. Furthermore, I think that the manager was way too hasty in firing players out on loan. There is no way that any of the latest incomers, have shown any more than Tollitt, Dickenson Ward or Hope would have. In many aspects, it's all been a bit of a mess, that has left us fans frustrated and angry.
  6. I agree. Hammond was very average. However, Kitching was just bloody awful. And was singled out because in my opinion he was worse than Hammond.
  7. I know that the pitch has had to suffer almost unrelenting rain since it's renewal, but it is looking a bit weary already. From high in the main stand, it is looking threadbare. And not just the section in front of the main stand around the half way line. I know that the rugby club also use it, but read that the new modern technology in the pitch, would allow a lot more use that it has been subjected to so far. I remember in recent years, the old pitch looking not much different than the new one at this stage of the season.
  8. In my opinion, he was head and shoulders worse than anyone else on the pitch.
  9. Because he was the only one that was utter shite today.
  10. Decent game for our level, end to end, and don't think that either team will be unhappy. Their keeper made a wonder save from Sheron, and our keeper made an equally brilliant save to foil a long range effort from them. They had their moments, but so to did we. Can't really grumble too much about our lot, except, for the life in me, I cannot see what Kitching brings to the team, he was bloody awful. All in all, another point. We move on.
  11. Pile the players onto the team coach in the morning. Take them for a drive around the Yorkshire Dales. Then tell them we are playing Oldham away. Enjoy a light lunch in Settle, then drive back to the ground, play in orange, = sorted 4-0 win.
  12. Yes . David Shaw very quick. However Paul Warhusrt was in another league of quick. Back in the day we called him turbo.
  13. It would be nice if Kitching actually looked half interested in being a footballer.
  14. Right. Kitching, to be driven up to the Lake district and left there, for ever.
  15. I personally, have heard no mention of getting rid of the manager, so the hysteria on here is baffling me. Lots of folk would very much like to see some entertaining football without having to travel to Maidenhead though.
  16. Not have a pop at you BP, but they didn't have the backing of a large crowd. There was a large crowd in the ground and the atmosphere before the game was good. However, as usual Latics gave us nothing at all to get excited about, consequently the atmosphere was as flat as it was possible to be. In fact Kidderminsters 700 fans made more noise than our 11,000, and that was because their team actually gave them something to get excited about. Our lot did nothing to create any kind of atmosphere at all. Our fans were streaming from the ground even before half time, their fans would have still been roaring their approval of their teams display for as long as they were allowed to stay in the ground. I only attend Saturday league matches, and I honestly can't remember Latics giving me anything that could get me cheering them on with any kind of passion ( Aldershot maybe ). Game after game, we are boring and bloody awful to watch. That game, was the perfect opportunity to win back some long lost fans, and give us a push towards success in the play offs. Instead we were treated to an abject horror performance, that left one and all angry and frustrated. Unless of course, you support Kidderminster.
  17. It's easy. From now till the end of season, play our home games at Stalybridge. It's obvious that National league teams playing us at BP is their Wembley, and they raise their game accordingly. So play away when at home .. I thank you.
  18. I can't help but think, Tollitt and Dickenson should still walk in the team, rather than some of the dross performances served up by those that replaced them. They both had goals in them, and Tollitt would at least attack defenders therefore making space for others. I still think, that there is something simmering beneath the surface at BP that is the root cause of the constantly absolute abysmal performances at home. If that is the case, it needs to be sorted out immediately before our season crumbles to dust, even before the play offs come around.
  19. Another 200 mile round trip. More steam pouring from my ears. That was bloody dreadful AGAIN , and I still have no idea of how the team is set up to play football. I suspect Mellons honeymoon period is about to suffer some fan flack. His football is almost as bad as the previous manager served up, Between them we have signed lots of players, yet look worse. How the hell did Kitching stay on the pitch until the end ? he was worse than useless . There just doesn't seem to be a connection between different elements of the team . Is a midfield player an alien conception to Mellon, if we are going to aimlessly hoof the ball over our midfield, can we just play 6 up front, then maybe we will get a kick in the opposition's half of the pitch. With the added benefit, that we could stop passing the bloody ball backwards every other pass. Our style of play is totally frustrating to watch, and is not going down at all well with thousands of our fans. And I suspect that the managers insistence of bringing in older players, is not going to work in today's football world, not even at National league level.
  20. What a talented lad he was. So tricky, and a proper entertainer. Every team we played, tried to kick him up in the air. Problem for them was, they had to catch him first. Tragic that he died still as a very young man. But what a player he was.
