  1. Yes but we are going to be the ones sat in the new stadium able to use its new facilities, Plus the club would lose out on money doubt its going to happen. Their has been alot of ordianary performances this season no doubt but Knowone guaranteed us success this season we aimed high and maybe we have fallen short knowone ever said is was going to be easy. I don't remember anyone predicting at the start of the season that we were going to have a teams worth of players out injured going into the final quarter of the season. Its a two way thing if we put our hands in our pockets and buy season tickets next season TTA will help us bring in new players which will give us a better chance of promotion. I'm not going to tell people what to do with their own money thats their choice in life. However If you are a season ticket holder and are not going to renew and just pick and choose your games then their don't expect those games you do pick and choose to go to be any better than what has been seen this season. Plus if you do buy a season ticket you will still efectively be able to pick and choose which ones you go to as you get a percentage of those games free.
  2. All very well but the reason why Shez was moaning is because fans aren't letting him and the players just get on with it as they are passing their opinions to him all the time. We just have to put abit of faith in him. He won't get everything right not now probably not ever but if he is right more than he is wrong then that will do for me.
  3. Give something back! You mean like building us a new stadium.
  4. If shez had no previous connections to the club I would still be saying the same thing keep him thought the same about Moore, only a handful of managers ever get out of this league on 1st or 2nd season. We will be plying our trade in the bottom 2 divsions eternally if we keep chopping and changing the manager, If we stick with one and give ourselves stability we have a lot better chance of not doing so.
  5. Spot on! Anyone who sees the ball boys will know that they never give 100% and don't care about the club I cannot believe shez hasn't got the contacts in the game to supply us with 500 new quality ball boys. Anyone who disagrees is completley deluded!
  6. No you haven't to be fair the 2nd paragraph was a more general point I was making as many (not necessarily yourself) are under the illusion that this is an easy division to get out of its not and takes alot of hard work. My first paragraph was in respone to what you said which was that we can't change what has happened in the past so their ain't much point complaining about it. We have to get on with the here and now just because this club has not achieved sucess in gaining promotion in the last decade or so doesn't mean that it can't happen in future.
  7. Yes Middlesborough went straight down but went straight back up and have stayed their ever since Long term these developments help clubs. Their hasn't been any rumour in the press about TTA leaving this is the first I have heard of it, and I think it is just that a rumour you maybe right but I will only believe it when I see it.
  8. The past is exactly that the past. No point in moaning about it we can't do anything about it what we can do something about is the here, now and the future. On the same basis just because we have struggled in this divison in the past doesn't mean we can't get out of it in the future. For those who continually slag of the quality of this divison is it really that easy to get out of? you ask the fans of Leeds Nottingham Forest, Sheffield Wednesday, Bristol City, Stoke City and even our massive firends from down the road Manchester City. All big clubs who have been in this divison in the last 10 years and non of them won it! But as the fans of Colchester, Southend, Scunthorpe, Rotherham, Walsall, Blackpool ( just a few teams who have gained promotion to the divison above in the last 10 years who have comparitive resources to our own) will tell you it is possible. I for one will cling to that hope and thats what will keep me coming to BP if that makes me a "Happy Clapper" then so be it I don't care.
  9. So what do we do about it then no point in moaning about the past what might have been come on tell us how we can compete with Donny and Swansea then? You remind me of someone who just sits there moans about something feeling sorry for themselves and never does anything about it I don't have much time for people like that.
  10. Thing is tom its not just 2 or 3 player or even 4 or 5 its a large proportion of our squad missing. If we were missing 2 or 3 then we should be able to cope but its considerably more than that. I agree with you on looking for a new centre mid in the summer Allot has been excellent. Macca has done ok. Its not worked out for Kalala, and am not convinced about Jarrett or Livermoore. We will need cover in that area.
  11. Think we hoped Gregen would be back by now. We also hoped Hughes would be back but his injuries have had a set back. Craig Davies's injury was worse than first thought. Lewis Allesandra is thrown in then he gets injured we sign Jordan Robertson and within a week hes limped off back to Sheffield injured. John Thompson limped off today after coming back from a long term injury it just seems to keep happening. Tell you what I'm absolutely amazed Stam hasn't broke down yet what with his injury record. However I definately think we need to address the physio situation because it doesn't help us at all to have a key backroom staff member missing.
  12. Whether we are sick of hearing the injury excuse or not how many other squads could cope with an injury list like ours.
  13. True but the anti Ronnie feeling was much higher than the anti shez feeling more people blamed moore than have done for shez. 2 reasons for this firstly shez has given loyal service to OAFC down the years as a player a coach and now a manager. Secondly we have a the worst casualty list since the Black Death so shez has had to chop and change his side and has had to change his plans time and time again this season and most fans can appreciate this to extent.
  14. He does have pretty decent movement and does get into some good positions hence his goal at Port Vale which was sublime but if we are trying to get into the championship we need a player with a bit more to his game. Should be given a start on monday though IMO as we play better with 2 wingers and 2 strikers. We looked dreadful up until we started playing with a proper 4-4-2 in fact that first hour was as bad a game of football as you are likely to see from 2 professional sides.
  15. Definately not a sending off too many men back if wolfy had rounded the keeper he would still have had alot to do as he was a good 30 yards from goal and would have had to beat atleast 3 Millwall players. Ref got it spot on
  16. Spot on its a nice idea of the premier league sharing out right across the board but it would never happen. The whole reason why the premier league was formed was because the big 5 which at the time was Arsenal Man Utd, Liverpool Tottenham and Everton wanted a larger share of the tv revenue which was at the time shared right through all 4 divisions despite the fact that only a handful of games were shown on tv and these involved the bigger teams. The only way that this could happen was to breakaway from the Football League so they did along with 22 other clubs we were one of them.
  17. Good to see the attitides of many on this thread lets keep going if we don't make it it won't be the end of the world but lets give the play offs a damn good go If we have given it a damn good go and have missed out narrowly I won't be hugely disappointed If we can give the excuse of injuries and inexperience then fair enough atleast it won't be through a lack of effort.
  18. To be fair OAFC0000 he is someone who turns up pretty regularly by all accounts having a pop at people on here is the wrong place as the people that use this site are the ones who go regularly and as often as possible. While I appreciate that like you I look around BP and feel a little miffed at the empty seats, what do we do when the good times roll around again (and despite what a few say on here they will at some point) and we are in the championship in a nice new stadium with a 10000 average. Do we turn the thousands of extra people away on the grounds that they weren't their to see us get beat 1-0 against Hartlepool back on 04/03/08. Sadly the reality is that these are the market forces that a football club has to deal with the better we are doing the more fans we attract the worse we do the less we attract its always been like that for every football club in the world and always will be whether we like it or not am sure TTA as shrewd business people are well aware of this before they took on the mantle of being Gaurdians of OAFC.
  19. While I can step back and look at the bigger picture and see that overall this is a young team and things I think are going in the right direction. You cannot slag people off for giving up a day spending a fair wedge of the wages going to watch their team aiming at the play offs and get tonked by a team who are already doomed to relegation in march and have not won in 15 and then being a little off about it. If you are honestly expecting people not to moan about that it must be you with the low IQ.
  20. To an extent though all faith is blind I suppose I come under the blind optimist/Happy Clapper tag, thats just who I am. Its not the same as naive I just try and take the positives out of every situation. I agree with alot of what you say in your original post 2 more questions need to be asked IMO Do we need to expand our scouting and secondly can any player that we sign play for 40-50 games no use having a football genius who will be sat in the stands for 30+ games at a time they can't affect the game from there.
  21. 30! wow wow to big am afraid not on the crowds we are getting. We had 38 players on the staff being paid top dollar during the Dowie season thats why we got into such problems. So if we had a squad that big the quality of the team would not be of sufficent standard to get us out of this divison. What we have to ask ourselves for next season is how many are going to be fit and be available to play 40-50 games for us. The big problem for Greegs and Liddell is staying fit for the whole of next season as they are at the age where playing pro football for 15+ years may have taken its toll and they will pick up niggles more often than they did 5-10 years ago.
  22. You are joking aren't you! Yeah I gave him a chance when he was here but looking back now that was one of the best decisions shez made this season was getting rid of him. I remember seeing the guy play for Bolton and an excellent player he was then too But it all went to his head, the guy is a waster. A classic example of why you need good people around you because if you have the wrong people around you like Ricketts (and when I say wrong people I mean his agent) they will lead you astray and make you forget why you got to where you were. He could be a great success at southampton trouble is he won't be because he won't want it enough.
  23. Now I'm sure you ain't aiming this at me personally as I sit in the Lookers Upper and try and get behind the lads as much as possible but can you honestly say that our own fans prevent players from coming to the club. Neil kilkenny was liked here alot people didn't get on his back but he still left to leeds because they offered him better money. I don't like being sat next to a moaner either but last night it was understandable and justifiable am sorry. Footballers have to be thick skinned and the ones that have the thickest skin and make millions out of the sport. Any players reading this not liking that miserable git who sits their and moans at you all game from the safety of the stand, just go and prove the git wrong you never know you might be a millionaire one day.
