I never stated what my first choice strike pairing would be...simply that a youth loanee could play off either, which is another good option. I will leave Shez to work on what's first choice in pre season. It's certainly more promising than what we started last season with already.

As people have said Shez has got a tune out of him on more occasions than not, and he is of a higher calibre than what I had expected us to sign, so it's good work in my opinion. I expect our final striker to be a Prem/champ youth loanee to play off either of Holloway or Davies. A left back, winger and 2 x GK's and we are pretty much there.

Sadly all too often you hear of people passing these days and it doesn't come as a surprise, but this has deeply saddened me, and I have never spoken to the the man directly. This speaks volumes about his character. He epitomises all that was good and loved about football and will be a massive loss especially to a club like us. He is the glue that keeps a club like us together through hard times. He was one of us and gave his heart and soul to the club, hats off to you Gordon you will never be forgotten.

Could it be that our agreement regarding Taylor was a gentlemans agreement whereas Ticket receipts are forced down? Surely Moislely wouldn't be daft enough to go public on owed money to us when we set the precedent in the first place? Ok so I either missed the comms or there wasn't any. My Latics Player App doesn't have the new video of Mark on it, and I see the preview clip refers to iFollow. Now when I go on iFollow it doesn't seem to work on my iPhone (the irony). I also can't find anything on the App Store. Have I missed something or is it one of those platforms that is only compatible via Firefox or chrome or something? If so they are going to be losing my custom!

Was it worth putting a video online to tell us what we already know? I get that people demand more visibility and comms from the club but try to find something positive that is worth saying to keep the momentum and interest going during the quiet season...this just sounds like senior officials getting violins out again!

Isn't it common knowledge now that the club insured themselves against that ST promotion? So they will have had a pay out to cover the losses?

Pretty much bang on IMO, hope that Wilson and Green renew in particular, I think with Clarke they are a good core of professional characters you want around the club and between them will get the whole team motoring to the same work ethic. Equally Edmundson hopefully will renew as him and Scott are great youth prospects that won't cost the earth and free up monies for our biggest gap in midfield and up top.
