  1. I didn't even know Westley had gone back to Stevenage! When did that happen?! At least we'll get to make fun of his antics again next season when they visit BP.
  2. Or the Detect All Fire & Security Systems Joe Royal Broadway Stand?
  3. I was going to request Allan Smart vs Brentford in 01/02 but realised I have the highlights myself: The magic begins at 02:10. What a cracker of a game - http://espnfc.com/ma...d=23436&cc=5739 I remember Allan Smart being :censored: but those highlights make him look like a legend. His first goal is one of the best I've seen at BP, what a run and finish!
  4. Yea, just listen to recent, "rockier" versions of Atlantic City, Open All Night and Johnny 99. Reason to Believe was a standout for me on the '07 indoor tour. Most casual fans I imagine would be streaming for the toilets/bar though.
  5. Sounded like a decent show from the reports. Be interesting to see whether he continues the full album thing in Finland on Tuesday. I'd prefer he didn't but could see him doing BITUSA at Wembley. Not sure he'll top the 2 full album shows I saw in New York in 2009 though!
  6. Excellent news. Another big away following at BP next season, boosting the coffers. Already looking forward to the away trip again where we can hopefully continue our habit of annoying them. Good luck to Yeovil in the final.
  7. If Oldham were in the same position, I'd much rather we did the same thing rather than potentially conceding and getting relegated.
  8. Good luck to him if its true. I'd love to know how he answered the interview question: "Now Paul, can you tell us why you left your previous job?"
  9. Yea it would be pretty miserable and treacherous in the rain. We were really lucky - clear blue skies and great views across to Skye from Applecross.
  10. Scotland is stunning. A pre-season tour up there would tempt me. I can never understand why more people don't visit there given its so close. The West Coast and highlands are awesome and the drive to Applecross remains one of the most epic I've been on (not that you'd get the team bus up it).
  11. I think my trip is probably better value at 4.5p per mile! Bloody hell, that actually makes it seem cheap. I'll be very jealous though - got to wait until June before the Bruce stalking starts at Wembley.
  12. I'm not convinced generally but there is one positive with having the badge in the middle - at least it won't chafe one of my nipples if I go for a run in it!
  13. I'll be happy with a confident Cisak as number 1 next season but the decision to release Bouzy seems odd - he can't have been on big money and if LJ favoured Cisak, surely he'd have played him more? Wouldn't surprise me if Cisak moved on and we end up with new GKs all round next year.
  14. Player leaves the country in close season to visit his home. Oh, he must be off then.
  15. New shirt's proven me wrong, I'd thought and hoped (for the sake of those who bought a shirt in the last year) that the current home kit would stay for another 12 months. Blacks - now there's a sponsor I can get excited about; perhaps the club can negotiate an exclusive discount for fans and I can get some cheap outdoor gear!
  16. Yep, and PL clubs are about to receive a 70% increase in income from TV rights. The PL also threatened to withdraw the tiny solidarity payments to the Football League if clubs didn't vote in favour of the EPPP scheme which limits the transfer fees lower league clubs can command when selling young players to PL clubs. Armchair football fans are funding the slow demise of lower league football.
  17. Its not the draw as such, its the specific moment i.e. Smith's equaliser. If it was my favourite game of the season it'd undoubtedly be the Liverpool game - I imagine most are of a similar view.
  18. Really wanted to go for the Liverpool final whistle but I went crazier when Smith equalised vs Everton so that edged it. Some real champagne football vs Crewe (A) and PNE (H) though.
  19. They're waiting to see if we can re-sign Dean Furman so they can use the original promo video they shot with him.
  20. Great post that - email it to the club! I've no idea of the figures in terms of whether the scheme breaks even but in getting young fans through the door and improving the atmosphere in BP, its been a success. I know others have mentioned this but to link the £10 ST with the pitch invasion is ludicrous - it happens every year. No doubt the club will use it as an excuse if they do decide to pull/not renew the scheme.
  21. Baxter - his goals and assists have been vital and he's been (mostly) great to watch. I think he's the most gifted (though not necessarily the most effective) player I've seen here in the last 10-15 years. Grounds and Croft have both been immense but my rationale for choosing Baxter is trying to picture where'd we'd be in the table without any one of those players. I think we'd be further down the league without Baxter than we would without Croft or Grounds.
  22. Frank Turner's new album, Tape Deck Heart. Lovely stuff.
