  1. Yes, absolutely. Its just a shame it doesn't work like that.
  2. If you don't go up, there's no contest for me: Forest and Everton were amazing. Smith's goal v Everton was the greatest single moment I've had in football. Liverpool at home was the best day I've had in football (I've seen us in the PL and at Wembley in '94) An unsuccessful promotion push would be nice compared to our league form this season, but would never top those moments. If you do get promoted however, then its a much tougher question and I'd be inclined to swap.
  3. Eyresy was great too but you can't beat Lids. Don't think he ever missed a competitive penalty.
  4. I hope you're forced to release a Director's Cut after Tuesday!
  5. I've just picked up my seats - block LV2 in the lower tier. Doesn't look that great:
  6. Jose Baxter is going to make his mark on this competition big time on Tuesday... its written in the stars.
  7. Furman was very good second half vs Stevanage and did well when he came on against MK Dons and Everton. Not sure what our fans want or expect of him. He was poor earlier in the season but then so were most of our players.
  8. I stand corrected. I was in the lower tier last time and can't remember much apart from going crazy!
  9. I was also surprised we have that many. Don't forget the £10 junior tickets will have swelled the number quite a bit. And they don't necessarily turn up every week.
  10. Agreed. I think he should have shot earlier and buried it but it should have been a penalty.
  11. Awesome read, sums it up well! Added to what Diego said, moments like those are moments a Premier League fan (no matter how genuine and loyal) will never get!
  12. What would you consider a decent away following at Stevenage on a Tuesday night?! No, not them. Just the ones who travelled from Preston or further.
  13. Its not that simple you're right. But you're inadvertently suggesting that a 26 year old (or a 36 year old) wouldn't have those problems! Most working 21-25 year olds I know have more disposable income than adults 10 years older who're more likely to have kids and a mortgage! If you're in full time education, a discount is fair.
  14. I'd like to see us keep key players, Croft and Furman spring to mind. But I suspect Corney's given us as much as he's willing for Barnard, Iwelumo, Obita and Murray. If we're now only just in the black, I imagine he'd like to keep it that way.
  15. Last night's performance demonstrated this for me over the two halves.
  16. I think we had the whole lower tier last time with home fans sat in the upper tier above us. I'd imagine its largely the same arrangement this time so probably not much chance of being higher up.
  17. They should be pushing shirt sales at the moment. Chuck in "Smith" or "Baxter" printing on the back and they'll sell loads - I'd have one.
  18. Did we ever hear who won the fourth round poll or do they leave that until the end of the competition?
  19. I said before the home game that the stage was set for him to do something special. But it feels like the draw was so he could do it on an even bigger stage, in front of the fans who didn't rate him. Something borderline magical is coming...
  20. But the players are good enough to be higher up the league, certainly mid-table if not pushing the top 6.
  21. I'd thought they'd have allowed 2 per ST holder this time. Is it that difficult to sell one ticket for £20 and one for £25 in the same transaction? As an ST holder I'm happy with the exclusive access but given the very short time frame, and the fact that we didn't sell out the home game, we run the risk of this not selling out.
  22. Decision made, I'll be there tomorrow. Getting the 0530h train back up then straight back to work
  23. Glad to hear it. I'm not for football players being pampered but we want this lad happy! I was a bit worried that when PD went, Baxter might get thoughts of moving on.
  24. Nice having you on here, stick around for the replay! Tranmere - just me personally although a few others probably feel the same way. Its a bit irrational but they've been stuck in this league as long as we have, are fairly local and the Ronnie Moore factor adds a bit of spice. You're certainly one of the least offensive PL sides! On Saturday you were poor. I thought you'd be much more up for it than Liverpool but some of your lads did look out of their comfort zone. Pienaar wound me up no end with what seemed like his constant moaning after every decision. If you beat us in the replay I wouldn't be sorry to see you go on to win it (we could claim to be the second best side in the FA Cup then!!) Liverpool I dislike (with the exception of Istanbul 2005 when I was cheering for them). Their fans have an annoying sense of entitlement when it comes to trophies but in reality, they're an average PL team and I can't see them challenging the Manchester clubs any time soon. As per Lukers1, with us keeping Baxter as long as possible.
  25. No, as I turned 26 recently and would be extremely frustrated if they introduced a cheap ticket for 25 year olds!!!
