  1. They said something similar to my dad and I about having to burn some more off when we asked today! Are they even on silver discs or the standard writeable green/purple ones?! Hope we've got the necessary permission to be doing that from the FA/ITV/whoever.
  2. And yet once again he's tried to shepherd the ball out of play rather than boot it out and nearly conceded a goal (think its their first chance on the highlights). Reminded me of Sheff U last year when we did concede a goal like that.
  3. Agreed, tea cakes definitely contain currents and are therefore best avoided.
  4. Agree re the loaning out of our younger players. Dale Stephens is a great example of it working well for us.
  5. Is it? We weren't moaning when Jordan Slew got injured and we sent him back! Works both ways.
  6. I think one of the 12 (makes them sound like disciples that!) who attended the LJ Q&A session said SC confirmed Smith would be off to a Championship club in summer for 4x the money.
  7. Oh well, at least I'll be seeing the Boss there in June, even if I never see a football game there!
  8. He made some comments today to TP (and insisted TP wrote them down on a bit of paper) about Grounds' body language, it was towards the end of the first half. Looks like he's picking up on the small details.
  9. Thanks for the summaries guys, I feel a lot better for reading them. I do still have doubts but to be honest, whoever we brought in at this stage was going to be a gamble - LJ certainly seems to have his head screwed on and is a more inspiring choice than the other names mentioned (Brown, Ternant, Kuqi). Looking forward to tomorrow night now, which I didn't think I'd be saying after Saturday.
  10. I'll be there as its such a huge game. If we lose, I'm not sure I'll go again this season.
  11. SC said (and we all agreed with him to some extent) if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Well Simon, its broke.
  12. The problem is that we've got a team largely made up of loanees and players who are out of contract. They don't give a :censored: because their agents are telling them they won't be at BP next season anyway. They should give a :censored: because even if they're on their way, their asking price will drop a lot with a relegation on their CV. I'm not sure they're clever enough to realise that. Football at our level has become so short-termist and mercenary. Yesterday demonstrated that only too clearly and it was as bad as anything I've seen under PD or even DP.
  13. They've put some of the interview here for those who aren't player subscribers: http://www.doncasterroversfc.co.uk/news/article/furman-its-a-very-exciting-prospect-714302.aspx It certainly seems odd to me. Difficult to tell whether he jumped or wash pushed but I'm starting to think good riddance, as much as I liked him whilst he was here.
  14. Shrews 2-0 up at mongs, already. Eaves has scored both. WTF?
  15. He wasn't challenged by anyone - pretty certain he wasn't involved in a tussle either:
  16. It was deliberate, he jumped with his arm in the air and "scooped" at it!
  17. I think if we lose tomorrow, we'll go down. I know statistically, we could easily stay up following a defeat tomorrow but I just think that if we can't get our arses into gear for it tomorrow night, we're screwed.
  18. Why can't that linesman be held to account? We've got clear evidence of his incompetence (or bias). He can't claim he didn't see it when the picture shows him staring right at it. Unbelievable. He should never officiate again, he has zero credibility.
  19. For a deliberate hand ball in the box, I don't think a sending off would have been unreasonable. A penalty and the rest of the game vs 10 men, its a different story.
  20. Unfortunately if 4 out of 5 of them win, that will still be a disaster for Latics but you won't win a bean! Good idea though, at 170-1 I think I'm on it too!!
  21. Not bad! Out of those, I'll be at Wembley, Paris and Leeds (bloody tough ticket that one). I resisted the urge to buy a ticket for Hard Rock Calling this morning. If Stockholm's anything like Gothenburg last summer, you're in for a treat.
  22. I'm sure when his tour comes back over here in summer he'll be the main man once again!
  23. Oh I do that anyway, but I think I like Gaslight more than Bruce nowadays!
  24. I know but I'd only get back into London at around 8pm, then I'd need to get across to the east end in time for the gig.
