  1. He's not..... and we've got Baxter..... move on.....
  2. I agree..... I'll just be surprised if Byrne gets in behind them - in the position he wants to and we want him to play...... Richie will have him wasted at Right midfield and keep hauling him off after 60 mins for a f*kin Kundai Benyu......
  3. I don't think that would work..... it's one of Doyle or Baxter with a Davies/Holloway that I think we need..... otherwise the long punts forward, which we will be doing, won't stick.....
  4. In a traditional 20th century 4-4-2, I would be inclined to agree with you..... sadly, the modern day coach whom dispenses with wingers in order to play narrow, is likely to want to use both of them in the role behind a lone striker, or worse still stick one of them right or left in their narrow midfield..... just like Richie kept doing when persisting with Doyle up top on his tod - even though it was obvious to a novice that his goals had come from being in a two with a big lad - and Byrne and Nazon as pseudo wide men. Drives me potty.
  5. Silly. I'm expecting him to turn up at Derby with Lampard. Anyway, we've already got two slow aging centre halves, what do we want with another one?
  6. Hard to imagine one of Baxter or Byrne not starting though innit. The thought of them both being on the pitch opening game of the season is mildly arousing..... I just can't see it happening.
  7. Go on then, give us your tippy-tappy, cruyff turney show pony eleven......
  8. Jimmy Case. All I can think of is him refusing to shake his former Brighton team mate's [Andy Ritchie] hand after the League Cup Q/F 2-2 draw at the Dell in 1990. #c*nt
  9. Which is also what I would like to take from it..... especially if Playershare has been approached because said Player would be seen as a fans favourite? - Hopefully Tracey can clear some of that up in due course?
  10. That's what I’m hoping Tracey was getting at.... but the more times I read the post, the less I was coming to that conclusion!?!
  11. Sorry Tracey, I may be having a slow day here, but I'm not following entirely.... Playershare has been approached by Richie - great, that's why I contribute - what's the "scared to admit we're skint" bit about? Are we [Playershare] skint, or we [OAFC 2004 Ltd / Mr Lemsagam] skint, hence Playershare has been approached? Or, are we [either entity] both skint or not skint at all.....? Why in this instance has Playershare been approached?
  12. Under the topic of ‘that’, Morocco being discussed as a possible destination for the 2026 World Cup.
  13. So definitely not relaying it. We can scrub that off the list above.....
  14. ....me too.... but you can't blame transfer embargo's and Corney's mess on the signing of Maouche, Omrani, Benyu..... and arguably Placide, Kyeremeh, Duffus, Zeus & Benteke. One could argue that Gevaro, Moimbe, Nazon, Pringle & McEleney did little to improve us. This is a large chunk of last season's efforts at recruitment. They [Lesmagam and Wellens] will have to do a lot better than that.
  15. ....He (Lemsagam) or they (Lemsagam & Wellens) - however you look at it - failed to get decent L1 players in when we were in L1, what makes you think they will now?
  16. That’s ok, so long as the incomings are decent L2 players.... otherwise.... I dread to think.
  17. .....while I agree, I’m more interested in what Lemsagam has learnt from the exercise..... and how this affects his view of recruitment moving forward.
