    1. Nazon wasn't Wellens' choice..... 2. & 3. I can't argue with that..... either way, whether shortsightedness on behalf of Wellens, Lemsagam or both ..... we are staring a relegation dog-fight run in, lacking a suitable defensive leader.

    Dont believe so.... when the loan rules were changed (start of last season) it committed clubs to half or full year loans?

    It’s a bad thing because, let’s say our only recognised experienced centre half got injured and then the make do one we have on loan from Citeh also got injured, this might leave us dangerously exposed in defensive cover and having to play a 20yo & 18yo alongside each other in defence, while battling relegation. Also for consideration.... he (AL) was happy enough to tie himself to a long contract in respect of Maouche, who - regardless of age - has no chance of threatening the 1st 11.

    I imagine Barnsley we’re paying more than we were, therefore a shorter contract was more acceptable. For the lower wage, he wanted more security.

    I think I'd need that elusive 20 pointer to stand a chance.... I'm as close to going down as I am to winning it, such is the standard. Next season is gonna be even tougher with the quality in the Championship vying for promotion. Top 3 Predictors on the same points. It could come down to the equivalent of goal difference for promotion. It's gonna be nail biting stuff. I'm looking forward to watching it..... ...I'm also looking forward to picking up my side bet winnings from the Rudestmedic.

    I once met Andy 'The Viking' Fordham at the bar in a well known restaurant in London, well before the days when phones had cameras. A mate of mine called Steve Hughes, Hughesy to his mates, was/still is, a massive darts fan. So, after talking to The Viking for a short while, I asked him to sign a beer mat and address it to Hughesy. He spelled it, "Uasie"

    Didn't Fleetwood accept our bid? i.e They were happy with what we were offering them in exchange for the opportunity to talk to Cole, indicating it can't have been buttons/token? Otherwise, why would they accept it? My understanding was that Wigan were prepared to pay Cole more wages than us.... which could well have been buttons/token?..... this is what Wellens referred to when he said something like, "If we'd just pushed it a bit more....."

    You weren’t paying attention then.... apparently he was ours - him & Wellens are mates from Leicester - we wouldn’t give him the contract he wanted (Wellens wanted to give him) so he opted to go elsewhere.... Same goes for Devante Cole.

    Bearing in the mind the circumstances when he took over. Bottom of the league. 4 points from 9 games. Floods of foreign players, many of which not up to it. Transfer embargo’s, takeover taking forever. No experienced assistant. Another season playing on a ploughed field - thanks Simon. Not allowed to sign Matt Mills, amongst others. If he keeps us up, I think he should be given a crack at it properly, yes. I assume you think a rookie should be doing better regardless of the circus going on around him?

    Ladies/Gents, 8 games left...... don't forget your Oxford (a) Prediction here; League tables thread here; It's tight at the top of both divisions; for the Championship playoffs and in both relegation battles. A missed Prediction now could start to make a difference.
