How about.... because of the 30-odd on his (well, his solitary agent’s) total list, these are only ones - with the benefit of 3 years of hindsight - that were any good.... and that fits the narrative that he’s a managerial genius that was stymied by the sh1t show that was running our club. The facts of the matter are.... whether he (his agent) genuinely targeted that list or not.... there are 2 hopes that we’d have got any permanently and more than 1 or 2 on loan. No Hope & Bob Hope. If you think anything otherwise, I’m afraid I have to conclude you are allowing a personal friendship to cloud your judgement. I suggest we agree to disagree and move on.

Alf, I think you need to get a calendar out and study some dates...... .....Darren Kelly was appointed our manager for the 2015-16 season. .....Ryan McLaughlin went on Loan from Liverpool to Aberdeen for that season. He was not available on a Free Transfer. Under no circumstances we were going to buy him, y'know like for real money and that.... ....he would not therefore have been a Permanent signing. The only one on that list that could've come close to Permanent was Nicky Ajose - who ended up going to Swindon.... and I bet Swindon offered more in wages than we would've..... The rest of them are make believe fantasy.... and if you put your Darren Kelly blinkers down for a minute, you know it as well.

Dunn was A problem, for sure. THE problem, were the pillocks that ran the football club. Darren Kelly wasn't a problem - but as nice a bloke and well qualified a coach he may have been - was way out of his depth as manager of a L1 club. Let’s not forget he was an abject failure in the Conference @ Halifax too.

....from Darren Kelly.... not from the players, the players agents and their parent clubs you weren’t.... and this single agent [soccerstarzltd ] he’s linked in his tweets is hardly going to say, “I was talking it up big Daz, that’s what agents/salesmen & women do. I was trying to get them, but reality was I was miles away from getting any of them bar Jonathan Burn from Middlesbrough, who showed promise but was as brittle as honeycomb”. I confess I did not expect Mr. Kelly to have done as well as he appears to at Hyde.... for which I must eat a bit of humble pie. I am however unaware of Hyde’s relative budget, infrastructure and support network at that level. His coaching ability/qualifications were never in doubt. I heard him interviewed on a handful of occasions and decided his oratory skills would not be good enough at professional level. I may yet be proven wrong on that assertion to.... but coaching Hyde well in the 8th tier is a long way from League One.

Update; Placide - Started brilliantly, gone right off the boil. On balance - cult status aside - probs not good enough. Gevaro - OK. Queensy - Didn't work out. Maouche - Clearly not up to standard and a 2 deal looks foolish. Omrani - Nowhere near good enough either, 1 year deal was too much. De Le Paz - TBC Nazon - Got something about him. Still very raw. Moimbe - Not convinced yet.

Each to their own, I genuinely like it.
