  4. Which 5? Bet West Ham was one of em....? I didn't make the Ipswich [promotion] game that season.... I was 14 and not allowed that far on my own. Still haunts me now. I made it to 7 away games. Wolves 3-2 Barnsley 1-0 Hull 2-2 Sheff W 2-2 West Ham [Boxing Day, noon KO] 0-2 B@stard 0-2 Newcastle 2-3

  6. You two aren’t discussing having a ‘plan’ are you?
  7. To/from Manc Vic/B@stard OUT 11:56 ARR 13:11 (via Mills Hill 12:06 & Dogdale 12:15) RTN 18:19 ARR 19:32 (via Mills Hill 19:19 & Dogdale 19:10)
  8. For those pondering it, I know of least one OASIS member travelling up from London on the morning of the game, who's on the following trains; To/from Euston/B@stard via Preston OUT 10:30 ARR 13:29 [Preston/B@stard 13:04] RTN 18:31 ARR 21:33 [Preston/Euston 19:02] I'll be going from Manchester, although I've noticed the trains via Noblot [normally about 50 mins] aren't running, so I'm on one via Dogdale that takes 1:15. Fookin Northern Rail for ya. That's what happens when all the transport development money is spent on Crossrail instead.
  9. The quiet before the storm of 89/90.... and to think I was gutted when Tommy Wright left for Leicester just before the start of the season.... away to Blackburn of all places.
  10. Was that away? I remember standing on the open terrace at Oakwell with my dad on a freezing cold day.... we lost by the same score line when David Currie scored a hat trick for them.
  11. 'Rudderless', 'Unimaginative', 'Apathetic'.... they're some of my least favourite.....
  12. That's the spirit - reach for the stars. No topic [done to death or not] is unworthy of raising again..... we have a new owner, who has a unique opportunity [now] to do things differently..... why not talk about it? The alternative is to carry on as we are.... a football club that doesn't own land, or the only stand surrounding it's home ground that could generate an increase in revenue.... with a dwindling/dwindled fanbase that makes us [without a benevolent owner willing to lavish large amounts of money on it] unable to compete outside of the lower reaches of the football league. C'mon, let's have a plan.
  13. I'm unsure whether this topic has been raised yet, forgive me if it has, but i think it worth it.... ....I don't know how many of you follow Juel Miah on twitter? He's one of the official club photographers, along with Alan Howarth. Well worth a look if you don't, posts some great pics of matchdays et al...... Anyway, he's recently posted a picture of him meeting Abdallah and some of the players, Maouche, Nazon [I think?] and Moimbe for Friday prayers [Jumma]..... .....equally, I've noticed FFD [Fans for Diversity], which I think is an offshoot of the FSF [Football Supporters Federation - responsible for Kick it Out] recently [this season] open up a Latics branch - again can be found on Twitter - where folk from the Muslim community in Oldham are attending Latics games. Former professional footballer Anwar Uddin [started at West Ham, played mainly for Dagenham & Redbridge] is heavily involved in the campaign. Our opponents this w/e Bradford have something similar, called the Bangla Bantams. This can only be a good thing on a number of obvious levels. For our beloved football club to make a step up in terms of revenue through supporter numbers, a Muslim owner could help to engage the large Muslim community of Oldham to attend games from which we could begin to better compete. If ever there was a business 'plan' [sorry HarryBosch - but even you must admit this is fair enough] opportunity staring Mr Lemsagam in the face, this is one..... C'mon Abdallah, let's start talking about what your 'plans' are for the town and the football club. How about £100 season tickets like Bradford did..... heavily advertise it.... aim for 10k home fans every week.
  14. Ladies and Gents, don't forget to get your Bratfud (h) prediction in before tomorrow; This fixture also sees the penultimate round of group games in the OWTB Cup; Group. The Cup holder youngen is also in a bit of trouble in Group F as he takes on top of the Championship a259 in this week's televised game. milnrow latic; Stevie_J; astottie and nzlatic could all see themselves through to the knock out stages this weekend;
