  1. An Everton mate of mine who knows his stuff: A good talent but has a bad rep. He would walk into Oldham but he needs to understand that if he wants to just get a wage, he won't make it at a bigger level. He plays behind the striker but he has a good touch, eye for goal/pass and some pace. Great signing for Oldhan We offered him a 2yr contract but with a reduced wages. It would keep him hungry and wanting to fight for his place but he wants only £ so rejected it.He is great a reserve level but it is a big step up for an attacking midfielder but I think if he get his priorities right instead of just looking for £, he could be a great buy. He was talked up like Rooney, it went to his head, played a few games at Everton then dropped to the bench & never took his chances like Rodwell/Coleman and slipped down the pecking order. Loan to Tranmere, should've happened 2 years ago if honest because the reserve league isn't competitive. He did ok at Tranmere but not amazing.Turns down a offer from us cause he won't get his head down & fight plus thinks he is owed 1st team cause we said he is gonna be great. Don't believe the hype. He will do a job but unless he gets his head straight he will disappear. Worried about the attitude stuff, but think that there's a lot of players out there slowly realising that there just isn't the money out there and with teams having smaller squads there's less places up for grabs. Hopefully that's a rocket up his arse and we'll get the 'Rooney' version.
  2. Brought my cousin who turned to the dark side (scum) full on a couple of seasons after Prem relegation to last nights game. He also came to the Liverpool game and despite two losses he's enjoyed both and says he'll come to a few more games. I think it was because he doesn't usually get to scream at the officials at utd as they never get any bad decisions Fergie has that covered anyway. He pointed out that even if he could get a ticket there it's about £51 and it would be for the crapper matches anyway. I think if it was around £15 he might come to a few more matches, but he was still happy enough with the night and had two meal deals the greedy bugger!
  3. Morais superb yesterday creative, hard working and not afraid to put a foot in (got a sore looking crack on his nose for his efforts) Taylor works best when he has a solid defensive full back behind him which on the left he rarely has, and on the right only when they stuck with Lee or Eardley. Yesterday he looked like he'd been told to help/protect Mellor and seem to do it well, obviously at the expense of some attacking play. Tarky, if they're sniffing around Mellor can't believe we haven't had bids for him. Favourite moment was Kuqi almost causing mayhem by taking to many touches in our box. Tarky goes and has a word with him, tells him where he's going wrong, Kuqi listens to the experience of the lad. Next corner Kuqi clears it perfectly. Tarky future Oldham captain!
  4. Did Taylor actually get booked? BBC & official show us having no bookings.
  5. If we can't get Clarke back, is David Weir worth a punt!
  6. To be fair the last thing Liverpool players need to be seen in is Blackshirts!
  7. Reminded me of the Wembley final, when loads of Forest fans afterwards said we should have won and were surprised at how well we played. No disgrace in that performance and load of my scouse mates impressed by how well we played, not the usual piss take. Impressed with Taylor & Simpson having to force officials to let them give their tops to the crowd, if that had been me I'd have been straight over to Gerrard to swap! Shows they were there for the fans not just the occasion. Proud to support the team last night let's kick on a get to Wembley.
  8. Have just had my first article for Sabotage Times published www.sabotagetimes.com if its not on the front page anymore it's here My link hope to have a few pints after a game for once tonight and take the piss out of my scouse mates again! See you all there.
  9. As long as it's not K Friend, he wouldn't get out of the city alive!
  10. I'll probably get a taxi seeing how I live up here The only problem getting back into town will be traffic around the ground, it's about 10 minutes back into town in a taxi with enough time to pop to the Crown for a pint right near Lime St Station. The only other problem there may be is the thousands of reds crying on the streets outside Anfield after we knock them out
  11. 50 mins! Thought the same about being an 0151 number so also rang off the mobile still took ages. Must be chocka down there, but Anfield here I come!
  12. http://www.sabotagetimes.com/football-sport/the-greatest-goal-i-ever-saw-manchester-citys-paul-dickov-vs-gillingham/ Great website and good articles and even though we love him now, you could argue he's responsible for what's happened at Citeh He should really ask for a cut of the profits
  13. Sat in the main stnd sponsors box (pie & pint £10 w/season ticket well worth it considering conditions) right over that 'save' to me defo handball, if there had been a camera on the main stand side don't think there would have been any arguements, the sky camera angles didn't really give a clear look. Adding to the biased coverage (sky was on in the background), it was almost like they'd written a script and they couldn't handle it when we made a few re-writes. I could be a pundit on that showing, team with biggest budget & names should win so don't bother with any real research on the other team or give them any credit for playing well. We were better than them, end of. Also thanks to the bar staff and Jenny, good banter and doing the best with what they've got really enjoyed that. (We really need a new main stand with a bar)

  15. Remember when Griffin marked Wright-Phillips out of the game against City?! England international eh!
  16. 1st half didn't play well, went in 2 up. 2nd half played well, didn't score. Always prefer the points but be nice when we can mix the two for a full 90. Best bits of the match was Blacks iron grip handshake to Taylor when helping him up and the guy sat infront who after moaning about everything Taylor did, exclaiming 'he's messed it up again' and his mate informing him it was actually Kirk Millar who'd lost the ball!
  17. "Players with Premier League and Championship experience will often still be available because they have astronomical wages. Clubs would snap them up if they were available for £20k per week." In with a chance then As always Savage comes across well!
  18. This might explain why there hasn't been much player movement yet http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14399073.stm could we get Sol Campbell in to fill Greegan's shorts?
  19. Get in! moved to my birthday will hopefully be able to bring 10-15 of my mates in Liverpool to the match. Unfortunately half of them are Trannies and the last time they came we got beat with Joe back in charge and I got a ton of stick. Although I was promised 6 points from one of them if they stayed up last season, so I'm cashing that in! Where's decent in town for a pint before the match if I'm bringing opposition fans, or am I best off at the premier inn round the corner of BP.
  20. supposed to be bringing two scouse mates to the match - one has managed to break his nose at home with no recollection how, with just himself and a bottle of vodka in a room! If anyone wants a ticket main stand rocky road end give us a text on 07702 847956 can meet outside club shop Cheers Che
