  1. It's the typical pre-World Cup nerves for me. I actually love the competition and the chance to see different cultures and footballing styles pitted against one another. Yes, I see your point re: Crouch. Sometimes, I actually think I would enjoy the World Cup more, if England wasn't in it.
  2. As an England fan (I hope), why would you be happy with Rooney limping off? The Utd loss, I can agree with.
  3. Why does it take this long to go all out and attack?
  4. For that to happen, surely somebody would have to be already lined up? Last year Royle had nine games to get us back in for promotion. This year a new manager would have nine games to keep us in this division. It's a big ask and I just can't see anybody stepping up to the mark...unless they can persuade Duxbury to give it a go.
  5. Can't see him getting sacked...it won't keep us up if he did. The rot is well and truly set and it will take more than a change of manager to break it.
  6. I doubt it. What's the point in getting rid...it's too late.
  7. I think we can safely say goodbye to this division, because it would take a bloody miracle to keep us in it! Miracles do not exist.
  8. Especially at Boundary Park. The advent of the Internet has ruined our enjoyment of almost everything.
  9. I still maintain that Brandy was not the answer to our problems...we don't need a Premiership 'Starlet' poncing about at our club when we are trying to stave off relegation, even less so when said 'Starlet' doesn't even know where the net is either. We are stuck with what we've got, so let's just hope for the best.
  10. Quite easily...I agree. It becomes like Chinese whispers and the original 'snippet' of information (gossip?) becomes something else entirely.
  11. Thanks Broady and that's good news about the P.A. System. Are you any good at football.
  12. I don't think it is Taylor himself who has told the hairdresser, it's his mum or his girlfriend, probably unbeknown to Taylor himself. Therefore, he has nothing to gain from it...apart from a red face.
  13. B.P. in a nutshell. Gone are the days of dancing to Whigfield's 'Saturday Night' in the Rochdale Stand, the cries of "Beach Balllll!" as the inflatable ball bounced over the crowd (I even remember someone bringing an inflatable skeleton into the ground), struggling to find a seat and having a bloody scoreboard to watch the half-time scores on.
  14. Mind you, we'd have to actually convert any resulting penalty kicks into goals.
  15. In reference to Wright Philips and why we kept on chasing Febian Brandy, I have no idea...hardly prolific, is he?
  16. We'll be back in the bottom four by the time we play Brentford at this rate.
