Let's suppose LJ is offered a better job - which of you would turn down the chance of a better job, better money in an area where you've been happy and are well thought of?
This statement by Simon though well intentioned illustrates some of the problems we supporters face. Some of us aren't sure if all income goes to OAFC or if some goes to Brassbank. Clear, concise communication from the club is essential, such as why Brassbank hold onto the ownership of Boundary Park and surrounding land would help.
It strikes me the club are terrified of giving us any information. I realise that we can't know everything but does no one on the board ever consider the repercussions of their silence. It's as if we have no one who represents us.
No word from the fans representative either! And he was the one who said that communications with the fans had not been good enough in the past - nothing's changed!
I thought the players did their best - but we're really short on quality at both ends of the pitch and I'm pretty sure Corney won't let Shez bring in the players that would make a difference.
Two top class players - in defence and attack - would make a huge difference, but we all know that's not going to happen. Whatever Corney's plan is, it doesn't involve spending money! We're down!
More tosh from Jimmy Wagg! These phone ins are so predictable! "Great to have you back Shez!" " Good to be back!" "What are our chances of staying up.......
We've had some narrow squeaks over the years. The last three wins that kept us in the Premiership show what can happen and no one expected that. For me the key is to get players who can create chances and score goals.
Hopefully Shez can bring some new signings in before weekend. One other point, the weather forecast is suggesting minus temperatures so I wonder if the game will go ahead.
Size of budget will determine how successful any new manager will be. When Shez was here last time he had a decent budget and was able to attract good quality players - Richie Wellens, Chris Porter, Andy Liddell, Sean Gregan etc.
