Some time ago, someone on here did some hard work to find out who owned the new stand (Brass Bank Ltd - owned by Gazal and Blittz) and also revealed that Corney was a director of PCW Developments. He stated that Paul and Christine Whitehead and Gazal and Blitz were also on the board of this company. The Whitehead's are also directors of Holroy Developments, contracted to build the new stand.
Just looked at PCW Developments, and they have moved from a company with assets of over a £1m pounds to having liabilities of £1.1m to being dissolved. Wonder if this has any implications for Latics positive or negative!
Was our best player, most of our best attacking play came when he was involved. Glad he's doing as well as I knew he would. Still, we did get a big, fat fee for him didn't we? Oh no, another give away!
To survive three years was a good effort for a club like ours. Gates were falling as were the sales of season tickets in the second season so without a reasonable income who you gonna buy? Nice while it lasted.
Koukash didn't deny what Corney said so I think it's fair to assume it's true. And as for Corney trying to move us down Broadway, he got that wrong not being from this area and not understanding how difficult it would have been for the fans. I remember a few coming on here saying that they'd have to catch a bus from Royton. From Royton! In the rest of the world people are used to using public transport but it was obviously a step too far for some!
The worrying thing for me is that the teams around us are capable of scoring goals. Charlie Mac and Philly look like they couldn't score if the opposition played without keeper! Jonno's the same and then you're down to the young ones. Only Harkins is scoring at the moment. If the defence was water tight this wouldn't be as much of an issue.
If we go down then I won't be getting another season ticket. Not travelling from Surrey to watch League two dross. League one dross is bad enough! Depressing though isn't it?
