    It will be more down to upload speeds at their end than download speeds at your end. They may also have chosen a lower streaming resolution to minimise glitches.

    No - I don't really want to take the risk to be honest. It's quite a lot of money for it to not work, especially when you're also relying on a decent VPN which will probably mean shelling out even more money. Don't see why a UK card wouldn't work, though. Lots of people working abroad who still have a UK bank account.
