  1. I am ready to take my first humble step into the world of predictions. Money sent.
  2. Obviously a good lad and a superb keeper when he was on his game. Sadly he was off it too many times but wish him all the best
  3. For a start they RAIDED the OEC at the same time, it might not be confined to the club, could be other bodies and individuals involved. Hector will say if he's knocking it on the head
  4. Not sure myself really. I just don't like Wellens
  5. Wellens knew about Wellens' character when he became our manager, and even afterwards he still rates Wellens
  6. Do we have any information on possible numbers of users?
  7. Our forward signings are horses for courses. Even half a Doyle is just too expensive. Miller/Surridge first choice above O'Grady/Benteke. Kind of hoping it means Baxter behind scoring our midfield goals
  8. Mingerbrau. Absolute rocket fuel, guaranteed something out of the ordinary was going to happen if you sank a couple of them mid session.
  9. The Budweiser for the opening game of 2010 was passable too. Budweiser sponsored it and the lead singer of the house band advertised it as, "you can drink yourself into a cunt for absolutely free."
  10. It was a bit inbetweeny. He said they'd talked about the problem from last year and agreed it wasn't an excuse not to play well. Fair enough, but not something you'd want to rely on long term
  11. Rob Scott looking decent in midfield. Maybe we should have kept him there.
  12. To be honest it's been purely random how they've been handed out for ever. Sounds like they're trying to get some consistency in place, at least everyone will know where they stand then
  13. We have to remember that us visiting is the biggest event in their history, they will be expecting a big home crowd
  14. Wouldn't it be lovely to sign players at Christmas to support a promotion push instead of to try and drag a threadbare squad out of the relegation places?
  15. You've been thinking about this too much. I didn't tell the club about police getting involved in a scene outside the ground or his social media, and more than likely they know plenty that I don't. The bloke makes his own luck. As for me leaving the trust board, I've honestly got no idea where you're going with that. It wasn't my wife he was a prick to if that's what you're thinking
  16. I haven't seen us this pre season so no idea how he's looked. I do think we'll need at least one big heavy lump this season, hope he's a useful one
  17. Thanks for the reply. We'll have to disagree about his qualities as a player - it seemed to me he got plaudits for doing the absolute basics I'd expect from a chunky centreback and was generally poor. That aside, I think we're all guilty at one time or another about being willing to overlook some less attractive off field behaviour for the same of having a good player on books. Absolutely not wanting to go over them again, but Lee Hughes, Chef Evans etc, and many more who we've known weren't angels. I'm coming more to the view that it isn't worth it, and in fact I'd pick character over ability in a close race in my work life. However, when a player who isn't all that carries on as if he's an exceptional talent that should be able to do as he pleases, he can fuck off. I should say that as much as the Twitter stuff is unprofessional, the real life stuff is more serious IMO, and it's not internet gossip.
  18. Of course, precedent doesn't apply in employment tribunals (despite what Rudemedic will tell you). Not at all sure how the minimum two years employment works out for someone on a 3 year contract though
  19. Quite a lot of them seem to think he was nothing like as good as he thought he was. Re: the second part, you seem to defend him at all costs. Why do you think there's a conspiracy against him rather than people not liking the things he did?
