this is a site for oldham athletic supporters and having got a great result against a top premiership side all you can do is moan . you are clearly not a supporter so get off here and dont come back . a supporter gets behind his team.

corney brings in three / four good signings this week . who looks like a clown now

calling the man a clown is pretty low and goes to show the man is right to question wether you deserve a club . he provides the money to keep the club afloat and has backed the manager to the tune of 50 + players in the last three years . he does not coach or manage them so is not responsible for results . you can choose wether to attend matches or not but he has to carry on every day and this is the thanks he gets .

rocky road was terrific today and thanks to the drummer who did just enough . we can make a difference . we were on our feet for the full 90 and kept the lads going . great day out . lets do it again against everton.

well done in getting baxter to sign a deal which means we will be able to get something back when he moves on . wabarra also a good short term deal .Now get rid of Dickov tonight and get Keith Hill in . Dickov has good contacts and is a nice bloke but his results are awful . the cup game won him a reprieve and the liverpool draw has been a lovely diversion but Dickov needs to go .this is relegation form .

the way that premier clubs can now operate means that they run any number of youth teams under different guises ie development squad . there are no limits on how far away kids live and this means we are only getting 5th or 6 th rate youngsters unless the parent/agent sees that a kid has more oppurtunity to develop and play at a smaller club . i feel this is the reason the youth production line has slowed down . also the game is now results driven even at div 1 level and mr dickov and all managers are under pressure to avoid relegation and so turn to old pros and better quality loan players to get results. the young players at prem clubs have next to no chance in this enviroment and while we cant compete with prem clubs wages even for the wabaras etc we can take advantage . remember mr royle finding barrett and warhurst and marshall from everton . recently bouzanis and keiran lee have been picked up . i love to see a good youngster come thro but if they are any good we have to sell them and the chances of finding these nuggets is getting less and less .its sad to let go but there will not be a club if we dont take hard decisions . at theend of the day we all watch the first team and thats what counts .

sheffield stewards need to get a grip ! they allow idiots to walk half way across the pitch to confront our players last saturday and anyone can take a swipe at goal keepers now .

i dont think many people are aware that mellors mum was seriously ill ( leukemia ? ) last season and its not suprising a lad so young was distracted and lost form . i sincerely hope she has made a good recovery and the whole family can put it behind them . i think playing football is not very important at times like these . having said that i hope the lad can get back to pushing for a place and fullfilling his obvious potential . lets all cut him some slack and be happy our mother is not ill .

Mc Carthy is one of the most miserable, sad , downbeat terrible managers i have ever in over 50 years seen. I know he has had some success but its the most horrible % age football you can watch . no never not Mc Carthy . how about Billy Davies. Heard him on talk sport and he is ready to get back in to the game . shame about PD . he is one of the nicest guys with a great attitude and he has brought in some very good players . we either need to back him or sack him now . we need wins and plenty of them or we will lose even more fans and i hate to see it . I love my latics and just want to feel good about them but Mick Mc arthy NO . NEVER .
