  1. ok I was angry , frustrated and all the rest because I care passionately about my club and want success as any other fan does ; I am a little calmer today and will listen to the man before I get carried away. its my club and whatever chairmen , the boards or managers do if we don't support em then the club would just fold lets stay with our club and pray for better days and soon
  2. trying to calm down was totally underwhelmed by LJ s appointment and feel same about Darren Kelly hope I am wrong and he is a success , I really , really do for the club I support for the record I voted no don't want Kelly hope I am wrong , please let me be wrong watching
  3. all very positive re pre sales and interest from fans and business if the club gets a waiting list for 100 club and exec boxes they might be tempted to do something major to the main stand you can see the potential is there someone do the rough maths on 100 club and exec boxes that's all before a pint or pie is sold
  4. must say I have thoroughly enjoyed this weeks chaddy end memories on the official site . I was lucky enough to be there for most of the games , late 80 s early 90 s but these clips have really brought it all back . just watched 30 mins of blues v Southampton to stay in premier league we had to win , palace had to lose by 2 goals plus at arsenal what could go wrong I actually got nervous watching
  5. that site is so poor did we not sell a lad called baxter ? very poor site
  6. did we not pay for turner and murphy 20 k each ?
  7. didn they spend 5 million on two strikers good luck to them and ground capacity 12000 in premier league
  8. hope there is something on film to show later fantastic effort
  9. i think Jenny wants to know if any potential sponsors or investors are coming the rest of us can turn up unannounced
  10. don't forget the manager LJ reduced the width of the pitch pre season , so you have more physical limits on our wide play . he then let our one genuine winger Dayton go out on season long loan. Lj had decided on his tactics pre season and we have few players capable of really running the flanks , though on a wider pitch you would try Forte and Poleon . then you need a crash bang in the middle to finish the crosses
  11. take a look at bbc sport under fa cup section to find highlights of latics v manure in 1990 think they intended showing this at half time of reading v arsenal a lot of us have seen it before but great memories crowds standing and reds with faces like slapped arses as we competed with a very strong reds outfit we weren't too bad ourselves owtb
  12. there was an opinion poll on os a while back (see other thread for details ) some of us read it and gave our opinions , so yes good decision anyway , get fans together in better stands
  13. I see the youth team cup final versus MK dongs is at BP Monday 26 at 7pm kick off , lets try to get down there and back our lads I cant get there til half time but I am gonna make the effort would be great for them to get the main stand full for one night .
  14. when holden was appointed I wished him well because as a former player and now coach I want him to succeed for my club , but after the first few interviews I feared he was hopelessly out of his depth . HOWEVER since then he has identified what was needed in the face of that horrendous injury list and brought in the right types of player to plug the gaps . Sadler, Gerrard and the lad from Bolton have done quite well . also Holden has made brave substitute decisions and been brave enough to play the young keeper and leave him in which is a good move for the club in the long term. for these reasons Dean Holden has won me over as a short term manager but I would still have reservations about appointing him full time manager . I hope he continues to do well and we pick up more points to end of season
  15. gary kellys disco pants someone remind me , how did it go , what was the tune
  16. got to love Brown . he is a pain for any opposition player, treads a fine line though . I love it
  17. their home crowd was 2,600 at weekend I think. that is poor for the form they have shown and their position just outside playoffs . would keith hill see us as the a step up also good to see the stand coming on great result boys
  18. I agree 7000 very unlikely but we gotta look at something and the thread seems to be about premiership clubs match day experiences now . sorry I didn't have time to read every submission to the thread .
  19. so this : to register your interest you deposit £100 with latics (re fundable if the price increases and you are not happy to go ahead ) 7000 sales = £100 season ticket 5000 sales = £ 200 st 4000 sales = £250 st 3000 sales or less £330 st latics keep any interest earned on deposits no concessions on the £100 season ticket match day prices £22 and same for away fans discuss
  20. I remember Greame Sharp getting some grief off some centre half and as the ref wasn't very helpful , Sharpy just bided his time and when play switched suddenly to the other end he checked that the ref and linesmen were not looking he planted a punch on the defender and calmly walked away. took the fella a good 5 mins to get up . well hard .
  21. if we had a fit Locky all season we would be up . wont happen sadly but I hope he can get through as many games as poss to end of season
