  1. Well as of about 3 days ago BBC was showing Neil Wood as a member of our playing squad..
  2. Nah, he got released already Harland Sanders is showing a bit'o promise though.
  3. I understand that.. I'm questioning why they would be claiming back this loan now, and not in (potentially) two years with money generated through naming rights, commercial deals, etc. Where they may even make a return. I don't know, just appears strange to me if Lags is correct in what he says.
  4. Ignore my inability to type. Would you not however consider it a little odd that two of the three perpetrators behind a major investment are about to withdraw their share of the initial fund? So either they're out, or certainly don't have much confidence left.
  5. Corney's own words in the BBC Radio interview, infers that a chunk of the capital is to repay the other two. Why would they need repaying if they are still in?.
  6. Split between Corney, Blitz and Gazal. Can only presume Corney's share is invested back into redevelopment.
  7. That is why I'm sure the club will look to get the contracts secured sooner rather than later. Contractual obligation eliminates the collateral that any changing variables may cause, i.e. change of owners/council/etc. I have confidence in Corney and Hardy that they wont rush into this; they will have learnt from the temerarious manner in which the Lookers was demolished. I'm sure there will now be a long, thought out and likely tedious planning process. Timescales, financing etc. all covered. We have to support the club on this one, let's face it Corney could have called it quits years ago.
  8. Without plans, or indeed planning permission. Promises can't be made. This is a big, big project. Please remember through this all, we're skint.
  9. I think we have to acknowledge that to stay in Oldham, we were never ever going to get a rosy deal. I think to start developing in a year we have done well, considering we have no plans afoot yet. And bare in mind, with a new Lookers, if the next development is on the current main stand the ground doesn't look too shabby. RRE just needing a little aesthetic work, and the Chaddy isn't that bad I don't think. Important thing is revenue, I don't think it was ever plausible that full blue prints, contracts and work could begin straight away - Would almost certainly have resulted in rash decisions, one the club can't afford to take on such a big project. This is good news, just think had it not been approved how much worse the situation could be right now. This gives the club a future, something we might not have otherwise had.
  10. Oh no. Chron reports Feeney is on trial. There isn't a chance they'll sign him after seeing him train, surely.
  11. http://www.alfretontownfc.com/news/ALFRETON%20TOWN%2014,%20SHEFFIELD%20WEDNESDAY%20XI%200-1186.htm I stand corrected
  12. You see that image and can't help but get excited about the possibilities with a full redevelopment.
  13. Not quite sure how I feel about all this, but indeed that is a great example of where redevelopment has worked. Obviously to match that we will need to workaround the development limitations of the main stand. The old BP redevelopment plans I think on the whole were popular, and providing this is for a FULL refurbishment I think this could work too.
  14. I was all for Feeney based on the things been said about him from management and on the official, but he's making himself look a bit stupid at the moment. Should learn from others and just not respond to abuse from fans on twitter, at the moment he's rising to it, foolishly.
  15. But you would consider Stoke, Burnley, Preston and Macclesfield? Bolton, Bury, Oldham, Tameside, Rochdale, Stockport, Trafford and Wigan make up Greater Manchester.
  16. Wigan? Bolton? Given that we seem to be basing this on attendances.. both Premier League.
  17. I gather he's pretty good mates with Furman & Black, possibly from his first trial here. Would suggest he 'buys into what we're trying to achieve here", perhaps Dickov is given him an extended chance to prove himself.
  18. I was furious for about 10 mins there until the Feeney comment gave it away!!
  19. Or that other one he scored against.. oh.
  20. Flatmate is a Rangers fan described him as follows: "Utter gash, he's a donkey even in Scottish football" I am still hopeful though, think he'll prove to be a good player for us.
  21. Josh Parker: Could easily be mistaken for Brandy?
