  1. This for me, good luck to him, let's get behind our players
  2. I always thought he'd go on to good things when I saw him playing for Hartlepool Agree on Inman
  3. Who's that defender with grey hair 'running' at 50 seconds in? He must be injured?
  4. Thought it was very impressive. This video ran on afterwards, unexpectedly good to watch, comes across well and the 16yo kid who interviews him is entertaining:
  5. First impressions are very good, seems like someone you'd run through a wall for. I'm optimistic
  6. Certainly wasn't clear cut, I hear stories about how far over the line and obvious it was, it's not. Not as obvious as many other examples you could think of (Lampard in the World Cup). Today I think it possibly was in, last time I saw it I didn't, but you could call it either way...
  7. Reminds me of that Shefki Kuqi picture 'offer' that went nowhere, made up of a mosaic of fans pictures... Once bitten
  8. It's about as good as I can remember, now i'm living with an 8 hour time difference I wake on a Sat at half time (no change there), then it's done by the time I've had breakfast and i'm free to enjoy my Saturday, the midweek games often completely pass me by until I see the result somewhere.
  9. Not sure about price but: http://www.toffs.com/retro-football-shirts/english-teams/oldham-athletic
  10. I love that article just for the 'article continues below' bit
  11. Quite like Matt Chambers reports but think he's let himself down with that one! Particularly like the idea it's ok for a parent to screw up Christmas for a family if we take a point or more out of a game, but if we get hammered it's obscene. The performance shaming a 119 year old club is just a cheap shot at MK Dons lack of history, and a really limp one, just increases the level of melodrama and self-pity. This refund idea is ridiculous. Every now and then I have days at work when I think (and say) i'd have achieved more if I stayed in bed, sure the players and management are thinking that, and when he calms down Matt will probably be thinking that too.
  12. Looked to me like Lockwoods worked hard and dropped quite a bit of weight. Was impressed by the 3 new midfielders, but equally thought Winchester and Mellor looked really good, hopefully this is the year they fulfil their potential Would have to see more of Gros, think the keeper should easily have saved his goal, right winger looked ok, nothing special but was willing at both ends of the pitch. Forte and Llera would be low risk signings, you can see they've still got a lot to offer
  13. Just going back to Tom Eaves I'm not sure people realise he spent a long time out with a serious knee injury at Bolton, he was playing well for the reserves before that
  14. Not Crawley, will be watching Vancouver Whitecaps if anything, think the health stats are better there
  15. Not renewing as I'm moving away - you can expect a promotion push next season
  16. Based on the power JCH gets in a hand shake I'd back him in any scrap
  17. Is this true about Rochdale being better at business than us or a myth? Genuine question. One of my bosses is a Dale fan and he is forever bemoaning their transfer policy as everything is stacked on future payments e.g. sell on %, promotions etc. He gets the feeling Rochdale sell on the cheap in terms of upfront fee with lots of speculative instalments which bump the apparent fee they receive. They do seem to be good at talent spotting though
