  1. Whoever it is: you're :censored:, get out of our club when you arrive
  2. Interesting stuff, thanks PSSS, and everyone else who fed back from the meet the manager session
  3. It was pretty crap analysis though, saying he'd basically made 2 decisions and got them both wrong, the first he could never have got to and the second was drilled at him. Was just half-arsed nonsense based on slow-mo replays.
  4. The subs worked really well, was expecting Rooney off as we'd looked quite exposed down the right hand side all first half - Rooney seems to struggle to protect his full back when playing out wide, whereas Petrasso and Dayton (when he came on) have the pace to get back and help. I was a little surprised to see JCH off but I think using Harkins as the link gave us more numbers in the midfield and sparked a really good spell by us. Liverpool had to respond by bringing on Suarez which is a huge compliment to us.
  5. From what I could see (from the RRE!) the shot went through Tarky's legs and took a deflection
  6. Thought the ref was good, less sure about his linesmen
  7. Joe Garner tried to break his leg late in the Preston game
  8. We seemed to be missing someone to compete for the second ball last night. Rudd did well but he was punching most stuff and failing to clear his area, but when the ball dropped on the edge of the area we had no-one challenging It was an encouraging performance though in general
  9. Yes, fully agree, there's no reason refs would systematically penalise any team so the only conclusion left is that we aren't quite good enough to stop bad decisions being decisive so often
  10. I've not braved any highlights of any football yet, will look out for it
  11. First and second sentences don't exactly follow but you know what I'm saying
  12. Referees are so poor that if you leave them in a position to decide the outcome of a game they invariably do. We weren't good enough to do that yesterday, we dominated the first half and I think they shaded the second. It did have 0-1 written all over it from about 70 mins onward
  13. It never even crossed my mind that it might be a penalty appeal
  14. Spot on, he had a fine game, was playing very well until injured. Was heartening to see how much he & Tarkowski appreciated each others efforts, team spirit looked good
  15. I hope this turns out to be true, my favourite keeper of recent years, deserved to get back in the team toward the end of last season
  16. This and the fact that everyone won = indifferent. I don't think it sent a good message at the time but I wasn't unduly bothered. Plus we never know the full story. I met him a couple of times and he was down to earth and always happy to be spend a bit of time chatting.
  17. That's where i'm at, it's been brilliant this year - i've taken my 2 boys all year converted one from Man City, one from Burnley even though the results and performances have been generally poor. My dad (he's a Bolton fan) came to the match against Colchester a few weeks back to spend some time with me and his grandsons and has been to every home game and the away match at Bury since. I think he'd be back regularly next year. The statement seems a bit convenient to me, been worrying it wouldn't carry on. If it has to go then at least retain it to be linked to an adult season ticket, as someone said in another thread - my boys weren't on the pitch today and i'm sure others of the same age with their dads weren't.
  18. The header into the ground by Maksimenko late on looks fairly harmless on those highlights, I thought that one was going in on the night
  19. I'd second that too, Croft was immense, didn't want to mention Brown until after we'd finished but he was very very good tonight
  20. That was a cracking free kick he hit too
  21. I didn't really notice him much to be honest, which I'm going to class as a compliment. Few times I thought he should have put his foot through it but he ended up giving us a chance to retain possession.
  22. If we took another 4 points, 2 wins and a draw would see Scunthorpe safe. If we take 5 they'll need the three wins, assuming nothing dramatic happens with goal difference
