  1. I'm in thanks. Here's hoping I don't leave my best goalscorers on the bench.
  2. I guess his earning potential in MLS is greater than dropping down a division in England. Agreed he was a class player in the loan spell , scored some cracking goals.
  3. Was described at the time as cultured, a different type of centre back than Dick Mullvaney or Bill Cranston, which lead the following season to us picking up John Hurst, who was my favourite defender in those mid to late 70s days when we were establishing ourselves in the second division.
  4. Yes, remember being part of the pitch invasion at the end of that match, and Jimy Friz coming out and said we still have matches to come to win the league and he was right, KTF
  5. By winning the Division 5 title and a civic reception on the old townhall steps
  6. Yes confirmed as blue with tangerine pin stripes, with a round tangerine collar
  7. The blurb I saw today said semi bespoke design, or some other nonsense marketing word salad, which indicated front panel would be different from back , so maybe . 8. At the time , mid 1970s onwards, we/I thought we were a small town club, happy with the odd cup run, and first division opponents, eg Spurs. Looking back we didn't appreciate I guess the relative stability. even when Joe came in, it took a few seasons to get the recruitment strategy, the tactics and the playing surface all combining together . Let's hope this season starts the 'dare to dream' times off again.
  9. Yes the former , as he is a former Hulme Grammar boy, and the other Brian has an affinity with one of the Dundee clubs.
  10. I first started watching latics in a green Parker and pudding bowl haircut, but I'm not recreating that for anyone.
