  1. Nicely jinxed, you lot. #byebyejabo
  2. I just wish fans would learn that by placing the accent on the Joh instead of the Foh in 'Joh-nathan Forte Ba-bey' they could sing the same song but pronounce his name correctly.
  3. Wouldn't say he did anything wrong per se, other than having circles run around him all night by a stronger, fitter team
  4. Not seen enough of B. Wilson yet, but there's promise from the goals he's had a hand in so far. I also really like C. Brown but for me his attacking position is a shambles. If a CB has the ball he drops back in line to receive the ball, rather than be 10 yards up the pitch. I want forward, angled balls to the full backs - especially in 3-5-2, not sideways boringboringboring Everyone needs to step up and show some guts. I don't care if we lose (I'd rather not) but I want to see some real heart if we're supposed to be attacking/even trying to win
  5. Welcome back to life, Slowdive! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HU6TDgqFXbc
  6. Or, use it only when the away fans start a chant - start drumming off-beat to their song, replacing it with one of our own. Eventually, they'll stop singing..
  7. More song and tempo variation, don't do each song for too long and no great escape UNLESS we've come back from being behind = win. I enjoy the atmosphere it creates even if I don't join in.
  8. Oxley - Keep, sign permanently if possible Brown - Keep, offer longer contract Grounds - Keep for as long as we can. We won't find better at L1. Wesolowski - Keep at all costs Kusunga - Release Smith - Keep at all costs MacDonald - It pains me to say release, but bye Charlie Mellor - Keep on a shorter contract, final chance to shine JCH - Keep Winchester - Keep Wilson - Keep, longer contract Rodgers - Keep, medium-term contract Lockwood - Keep, definitely good for another year Dayton - Keep, shorter contract to put the fear in him Kissock - Release, not seen enough Millar - First out the door, release Belezika - Already been told he's getting released hasn't he? Philly - Keep at all costs, longer contract to make him feel valued Worrall - Sign at all costs Rachubka - Keep if he wants to stay, can't be anything but a good influence on Oxley Harkins - Would love to see him stay just to hear Boundary Park collectively get on the edge of their seats when he pulls a bit of magic out of his arse Turner - Want to see him play first team, but definite keep on paper Gosset - Good prospect, keep Truelove - Hope he pulls through, keep Coleman - Seems rated, keep Clarke - Same as Coleman, keep Bove - Might knock 'em in for fun with the kids, but looked little boy lost in his JPT cameo. Sell? Pritchard - Liked him the one time I saw him, prospect. Keep Dunfield - Release The core of the team is there and is GOOD. Yeah, this season has been a bit disappointing and we are doing whatever we can to create safety (playing less attractive football, short term contract cover etc) BUT keeping the bulk of this seasons squad will be key to any improvement we see next season. RB and CB cover is required, plus maybe a genuine attacking midfielder (who knows they are part of a bigger plan and are not THE plan). If Stead came back and got match fit to replace MacDonald, I'd be into it.
  9. Should've closed the Chaddy end completely for one game and pretended it was for 'essential maintenance' or due to a water leak or something, rather than create uproar by publicly stating they were thinking of a change. I can respect tradition, but then again I'm a RRE ST holder who would rather sit in the toilets all game than endure a game sat in the Chaddy end.
  10. Article now amended to state you can present ST at other gates and not waste everyones time at the ticket office before the game.
  11. He did nothing at all. Whenever he had the ball, he looked to pass it backwards instead of taking his man on. I reallyreally rate Dayton - before Worrall he would've been in my starting XI every week. Worrall has shown him up and he doesn't appear to 'want it' enough to be as effective as we all know he is capable of, or make it back into the team without Worrall being injured. PTSD from a bad injury is understandable, but at some point he's got to put himself on the line.
  12. Best bit of football I saw bar Harkins' wonder-strike and Oxley's wonder-saves was one of the Chaddy Juniors under 9s scoring directly from a corner during half time. The kid (number 8) was knockin' 'em in for fun. Worth a punt?
  13. Felt like we had it in us to win today, a few solid chances that just needed a bit of magic. Harkins goal came from almost nowhere and I think he was as agog as the RRE end was when it came off. Need to see the replay to actually assess what the bejaysus happened. Philly should've buried his big chance instead of trying to bring it to his other foot. Stead should've buried his one on one (again!). A fortunate bobble and his 20 yarder could've trickled inside of the post. The chances are there for us and we need to be taking them to put a game to bed. We can defend as resolutely as it comes, but we are ALWAYS on the back foot for the last fifteen minutes. Subs confused me today. Brown was clearly hurting and it took him going down TWICE for him to be subbed. And even then that was ten minutes after the second time he collapsed to the ground in a heap. Worrall was excellent in his cameo at right back for the most part BUT unless Winchester was carrying an injury too surely it would've made more sense to drop him back and keep Worrall in midfield? I've been a big Dayton advocate since he came in but he was fricken' useless today, waste of a substitute. I would've liked to see Dunfield come on for Brown and go into midfield. Winch to RB, then with 15-20 mins to go Turner on for Philly and go straight 4-4-2. I would've also, however, have liked for all of this to happen when we were 2-0 up and cruising. Oxley was un:censored:withable today. Harkins brought the magic and he is always worthy of a MotM but Oxley won the game for us without a doubt. Bring on the Dongs!
  14. A squad player perhaps, but one with a full International captaincy and multiple testimonies to his character and 'footballing intelligence'.. sounds fine to me. See you tomorrow!
  15. LJ reacts to BP's criticism/suggestions with bold defiance!
  16. Philly's goal was a cracker. Really thought we were going to open the floodgates on them after that start. Their goal is something we need to stop giving away time and time again though. Unacceptable. Thought they were good at getting the ball down the right wing, but then did naff all with it. A game we should've won, easily and by many goals. HOWEVER. In those conditions I am happy with a point, even though 3 would've seen us jump up a few more places.
  17. New Sun Kil Moon is amazing. For 'amazing' read 'lifeshatteringly sad'. Brilliant as always. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QkCQHVmErNc Also, Buffalo Tom is a good call. I see you raise you Lucero (playing at the Deaf Institute in the near future I think.)
  18. Mellor - Grounds - Lockwood - Brown Not ideal, granted.. but if Lockwood takes control of the line it could hold well enough tomorrow?
  19. Love Weso being described as a stumpy little rottweiler! Disappointed if Kusunga didn't stay longer, but if he's not up to the task ahead then *shrugs* what can we do!
  20. Unless it's Dyche punishing us for not persuading Tarky to go to Burnley..
  21. Only real disappointment so far. Would've loved him back.
