  1. Agree with comments about Abbott worth a look if fit, Kennedy looks a good un and wouldn't surprise me if Ravenhill signs as sure he played for Penney at Doncaster and Darlington he's a good battler bit of a dirty b**tard!
  2. Sounds like a cheap option and doesn't inspire me, but if it is him hope he brings Jason Kennedy with him looked a cracking player against 'Dale.
  3. Got to be honest don't hate City as my mrs is big City fan but to be honest never seen them as a threat as no matter what division we can always beat City!!!
  4. Kelly, i've not been to every away game this season but over the years have been to plenty and there are plenty of ****heads booing the team away from home as well, just not as many so you don't hear it!!!!
  5. Leezy, you should concentrate on posing for the paparazzi!!! If I was you I would be very worried what website them pictures of you are going to turn up on!!! Hahaha!!!! Not good enough yesterday as was said by others earlier, a few of the lads didn't look up for it. That's the worse I've seen Whittaker play, amount of times he let players run past him with no challenge, should have got Maher on for him. Still top six though so not too gutted, off to the pub now!!
  6. Deffo there for that Bradford game at Odsal, at the time I had never seen us win away at Bradford but we won there fairly easily and I remember us doing the conga on the seats!
  7. I've got framed picture on wall of Redders striking the penalty. Got it from the Chron who amazingly were quite helpful.
  8. Yeh he was there saw him leaving few minutes before the end.
  9. Thought it was great that Richie turned out for Ernie when perhaps he shouldn't have. I for one would love to see him back but can't see it.
  10. Leezy if the acoustics are as good as they are supposed to be in the Rocky Road then we won't need any drum to make any decent noise. Will be 1st season I won't be going in the Chaddy End since starting watching Latics over 20 years ago. Good to see that all our group of singers are all moving to the Rocky.
  11. Ernie, i will never forget the 1st game I saw you in a Latics shirt at Rochdale. Fans who turned up were wondering who the guy from non league with the baldish head in the midfield was. By the end of the game everybody knew who you were and the chants of 'Ernie for England' were fantastic. You always gave 110% effort and commitment for the Latics and I thank you for that. Good luck in your fight I'm sure you will again rise to the challenge!
  12. Enjoy the gig tonight lads! Went to gig at The Academy last night and they were superb, my favourites were Dragging Me Down, Sackville and Butterfly! Good turn out to see the lads and they were having good crack with fans, good to see all the Inspirals families loving it on the balcony at the back. I remember think it was back in '99 playing Sunday League against Gilly he was playing for Mills Hill Villa 'B' and me for Bardsley Halfway House. Good Days........
  13. Anyone think that Shefki Kuqi could be what we looking for on loan, strong powerful striker who knows where the goal is. Just been transfer listed by Crystal Palace, I know he's probably be on a few quid but worth an enquiry?
  14. Thanks guys. Gonna email Soccer AM and ask if they will send the clip.
  15. Thanks Metty. I dont have a clue how you could do that, will have to hope a technical genius who can give us some help reads the posts on here.
  16. A true legend. R.I.P I remember it well when he presented Roger Palmer with a trophy for becoming the clubs record goalscorer.
  17. Really looking forward to Vale, most of lads are up for it should be good day out. Just hope we get better result than we normally get, been there numerous times but never seen us win there!! Anyone remember many years ago think still under 'Big Joe' we may have just been relegated from Prem, I think Billy Kenny was playing, Vale striker Lee Glover took a clear dive and the Oldham fans sang 'Are you Klinsmann in disguise?' and Glover got up laughing and clapped the Oldham fans it was a funny and good natured moment.
  18. You can't have everything, was just typical defensive header a good head on it and trying to get distance on it. Safe to say you can see why I haven't played at Sunday League level for year or two!!
  19. All the best Ernie. Always put in 110% effort on the pitch from the 1st game seen him in Latics shirt at 'Dale and for this he is will always get the utmost respect from me. Met Ernie, when my son was picking up a signed ball and having his picture taken with him and got to say a really nice bloke. Get well soon.
  20. Anyone see Soccer AM this morning? Decent coverage of Latics showed Macca's goal, Peltiers OG and a superb header from crowd from me !! Cheeky bugger Goldstein made some comment about my lack of hair!! Can anyone manage to get hold of clip and maybe post it on here for me? It's worth a beer for someone.
  21. Got to agree with Wardlelatic I think Enoch Showumni would be a great addition to our squad. Not too sure whether they would let him go as already let Brooker go out on loan.
  22. Reason not scored many goals is he is a defensive midfielder, not exactly what we need? Name:Cole Skuse Nationality:English Date of Birth:29/03/1986 Height:6' 1" (185cm) Weight:11st 5lbs (72.18kg) Position: Midfielder Cole made his senior debut as a substitute at Colchester on Saturday, February 19th 2005. The midfielder, who can also play at centre-half, is tipped for a bright future at the club. Signed his first professional contract, a two-year deal, in April 2005. Penned his signature on a new deal in January 2006, this time a four-year contract keeping him tied to the club until the summer of 2009.
  23. Shez needs to tell Davies he is a striker not a winger, as basically we are playing one up front at moment which in home games is not acceptable! OK Davies as a striker will sometimes drift wide but not stay permanently out wide and more or less become non existent. I thought this was down to Davies but on Boxing Day noticed it was Shezza who kept telling to go out wide whilst Davies seemed keen to play down the middle.
