  1. I’m with this idea. 4 3 3 for me with Holloway spearheading the attack.
  2. I still thought we played 3 5 2 until the red, like an earlier poster said. However, with Bryan's pace at the back and a hungry-looking Wilson, I thought the shape worked much better tonight. Very sad to see Shez go after his service to the club, but I do feel some of his downfall was down to stubbornness at i) not playing Placide earlier; and ii) refusing to drop either Clarke or Gerrard (for me I'd stick with Clarke over Gerrard any day). Great result and well chuffed tonight. OWTB!!
  3. Don't often post but feel moved to do so after today. Agree with the earlier post re Steve Eyre's analysis. Thought Shez picked the wrong first xi and we looked seriously heartless in that first half hour. Then Fane's introduction changed our shape, and more importantly, our attitude. I know he polarises opinion on here but I have always rated his ability to break play and make simple passes. The ref then took over and couldn't wait to send him off in my opinion. I didn't even think the second yellow was a foul, let alone a booking, but what can you expect from a team run by Robinson and Bowyer? Overall I was impressed with most of the players, although for me Gardener and particularly Bryan tired. I'm disappointed and angry with the ref, but we caused our own problems from the start. Hopefully things will improve... OWTB
  4. One of my favourite sports films. "You may run like Mays, but you hit like s@£t."
  5. Jacobs for me. Hoping for a goal-fuelled send off for the chaddy; a repeat of last year's match will do nicely.
  6. Really agree with OP. Becoming my favourite player, particularly in the dire stuff I've seen these last few games.
  7. I for one felt strangely uplifted by Simon's comments
  8. Got three for three generations yesterday - me, dad and six year old son. Here's hoping for a promotion season!
