  1. I think 2000+ will be a decent effort considering how :censored:e we are. Probably not much use on its own, but I'll mention it anyway. I've got a spare junior ticket going begging if anyone wants it (free).
  2. I spend £515 a season on the beautiful game, which according to said survey is 0.0465% of Reece James transfer fee? Who? Anyway, be interesting to hear what other people spend on football according to this BBC thingy on their app? £500 and odd quid doesn't sound like a lot? Though they don't ask how much ale I supp in the boozer beforehand.
  3. Perhaps to you it is bollocks, but that's the way it is and has been for many a year...not just in Oldham. Maybe the whole reason for going is for the 'skirmish' and 90 minutes of football just spoils an otherwise good day out?
  4. Although what happened at Bury was a bit ugly it was nothing compared to what went on nearly every week in the early 80s when I started watching Latics so I think who ever penned this statement wants to get a grip. Back then (when it was actually a working class sport) the sight of any aggro was enough to make you forget about how :censored:e life was, few pints, a bit of a ruck with the opposition then home on the football special. The match day experience in 'modern' football has become a bit sterile and let's face it, apart from 2 or 3 seasons (a long time ago now) we haven't had a right lot to get excited about so no wonder a few of 'the youth' decide to have the odd skirmish. Perhaps they've heard their dads waxing lyrical about the good old days of the 70s & 80s.
  5. Yes only half a job done by OAFC, now do the decent thing and give Holden his marching orders too.
  6. Well at least it'll be interesting reading on here tonight, much better than watching :censored:e Saturday night telly
  7. Can someone tweet back and tell Holden to :censored: off too. I don't do Twitter.
  8. Depends what happens in the next 48 hours? I won't be rushing down to his house for it though, kind of hope he's chucked it at Ballsack Barry in disgust on my behalf.
  9. Well I gave my ST to a mate today and went shopping with the missus instead. Never ever thought I'd do that on a Saturday when we were at home, but enough is enough! I wonder if he's still my mate?
  10. I had £15 each way on a 25/1 shot at Goodwood yesterday...it won!
  11. Superb day that, Jesus is it that long ago?
  12. I think the filth should have a long look at their tactics, going in that heavy on a bloke already restrained is likely to cause a riot...and it nearly did.
  13. Last season at Rochdale I paid on the day and stood in the home end in the corner near the Latics fans. Shortly before kick off I noticed the old bill casually letting people through to the away section after a brief chat with someone over the radio. Sensing I might get through also, I walked down and asked him the score. He told me the away end had 400 spare seats to start with and they were letting Oldham fans in there if they were in the home end 'to reduce the risk of any aggro', so he let me through. Think that was why it was full but only officially 3250 came through the turnstiles.
  14. Fit missus though. I'd play for Ashton if I could have ten minutes with that
  15. Yes it wasn't that long ago we played there on an August bank holiday and I paid twice to get in to see a nil nil if I remember? Coming over the bridge singing with everyone else a copper asked if I'd been drinking? Looking up to to the blue sky I said 'it's Blacpool away and it's cracking the flags, what do you :censored:ing think officer?' At which point he confiscated my ticket and I queued up at the ticket office for a seat in the home end. Cracking piss up that and I think we're due another.
  16. Not a bad effort for Tuesday that, well done to them.
  17. Crewe away? Nah. A piss up in London and England v France at Twickenham? Ok go on then if I must
  18. I'm surprised that many turned up. My boss is a :censored:, but he's done me a favour asking me to work tonight.
  19. Right stattos out there, what's our biggest reverse against the same team in a league season? I reckon there might be a new record looming tonight?
  20. Sorry Jimmy Wagg normally broadcasts his mutterings from Salford doesn't he whilst Jack Dearden gets the first class treatment thanks to my direct debit to the BBC.
