GuyGermanLatic
Das Frankfurt Männer! My uncle goes watching em' every home match. It's strange to see any supports of Ein. on here at all, and I was brought up to support em (kind of, spent alot of time of my childhood in Germany with my uncle yet most at BP) myself. Hey Eintracht Frankfurt! Edited June 20, 2008 by OAFCguy
Ak's11
one of the frankfurt lads is called Stefan & own a very nice hotel in a town called Fulda just outside Frankfurt AM. I stayed with them for the world cup with a few mates and had a top laugh with them! Fulda centre is a 5min bus ride away, loads of bars and nice restaraunts there. everything is all together and the trains to Frankfurt are spot on, approx 15min away if that. Top place the website is http://www.gasthof-rhoenblick.com does a very good deal too!

Simpo
What a conisedence. I've spent most of my life in Frankfurt (Spaarbrucken). Cought a game or two, Borussia and Bayern. Yeah, they have a group of fans that get to a Latics game every year, they came to Oldham vs Leeds last season. They have a cool half-blue/half-red and black flag too, which Franny got them to show off to everyone a few years ago, hehe.

Hey Eintracht Frankfurt! That is just awesome! Any chance we could have a pop at it with 'Oldham Athletic' being squeezed in where they say Eintracht Frankfurt? Could give it a go at a game like Huddersfield away if enough people are willing, obviously it wouldn't get anything like that but I think when people start to know the song it could really pick up. Plus it's one that can be sung for long periods, which are always the best songs for creating a good atmosphere.

Rocky_Latic
I remember posting a couple of clips in the past. One before we played Kettering in the FA Cup. Most of the talk in the stands and overheard conversations was about Eintracht's support and how good it is. Unfortunately, I couldnt see the mass amounts of people we have who sit their arms folded and tight lipped being too happy to join in with anything similar. To anyone watching these, they probably think it's a designated singing section, but you only have to find a clip that pans around around the ground and see just how many of them join in. Pretty much everyone. In the words of sheridan - their is a different class support. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=fCIRXxZbINI&...feature=related Does anyone know the words to what they're singing at 1;40 http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=DIOikYufLFk&...feature=related

I doubt the Eagles fans' chant is a direct port from Greek to German, so although the tune is the same - I reckon the lyrics are different. The Socialist angle is all a bit romantic - here's the PAO version in English: It's a magic weed, give me a little bit to taste, to dream of my PAO and shout as far as God : My Panatha, I love you, like heroin, like a hard drug, like hashish, lsd, for you PAO the whole world is stoned, (or: PAO the whole world is high on you), the whole world. My Panatha, my Panatha, I love you, I love you, wherever you may play I will always follow you, I follow you, PAO here, PAO here, PAO there, PAO there, wherever you may play we will always be together, always together. Frankfurt v Bayern game. Very big crowd as Bayern are the best team in the Bundesliga. I remember doing that huge 'Hey Eintracht Frankfurt' mexican wave kind of thing. Some lad put his arm around my shoulder (it's done by linking the shoulders) and shouted at me 'Viel spaß!' (I know my German ) which means 'Have fun!' Very exciting stuff but you sense everyone around is out to kill you. Never mind inside the ground, outside the ground, DON'T GET IN THEIR PATH! I'm hopefully going to catch a game in October this year and i'd also like to meet this bunch of Ein. Frankfurt/Latics lads. Yes we should .... MARK!
