Dosent make it right :) You could get weapons grade plutonium into BP :)

EDIT: Or was that a Balti Puka ?

reminds me of my lst visit to the nou camp, me and the boy were made to hand over our bottles of water, whilst the lad behind us was allowed to simply walk in with what can only be described as a surface to air missile! (Ok it was a flare but boy was it a big 'un!) Utter madness!

:)

Is it not then ? I have seen stewards march over and take crisps off little kids... Have me the impression you was not allowed to bring in your own food and drink...

As far as I'm aware there is no such rule, except for the banning of cans and bottles for safety reasons.

I have a feeling the main stand (and half the Chaddy for that matter) would be empty if they banned people from bringing their own flasks and fruit pastilles!

6. The following articles must not be brought within the Ground - knives, fireworks, smoke canisters, air-horns, flares, weapons, dangerous or hazardous items, laser devices, bottles, glass vessels, cans, poles and any article that might be used as a weapon and/or compromise public safety. Any person in possession of such items will be refused entry to the Ground.

Reading that I would suggest a flask would not be allowed... or any drink for that matter...

Crisps and butties looking good though :)

I am just going to take my own pie in future :D

your not allowed to take cans in as you could use them as a weapon,i know at other places they make you take the top off the bottle first before going in???

i always take a bottle for me n the lad,and some sweets for him as i got fed up of not having hot food or drink available before and during half time...if you take a bottle same as what they sell how can they say you brought it in??? they dont give you reciepts at the kiosks do they.

i can honestly say over the years the standard has steadily dropped, and the pies have got smaller,i remember being able to buy a pie the size of a cloth cap at latics and them always tasting good....

i think its high time the club started using specialist caterers like martins of even gregs or hanburys.....like has been said they must have noticed a downturn in food sales over the last few seasons.

Obviously this will lengthen the queue and speed up the sell out of food, but that's what happens when the crowd increases and everyone wants to be served in a 15 minute interval. Out of curiosity, how many people can be served in 15 minutes in the most efficient of food outlets?

There have been ideas floated to help though, A couple of mobile vendors could do the front of the stands, a standalone beer bottle kiosk could go behind the RRE, there are ways and means.

I go to gigs and you have these blokes walking around with beer things on there backs dishing out beer... Would reduce queues for people who want food... It ain't rocket science is it...

And would get impulse purchases. If you were 50/50* about having a pie or a beer and someone walked past you flogging them you would most likely go for it.

*Obviously if you were unsure about wanting a pie and a beer then there would be something seriously up with you, I mean if you pain of queueing was weighing against it.

Ditto, been taking a flask of coffee or bovril for many years and never had a problem and never expect too either.

Standards slip everywhere when you have been stuck in a :censored:e division for 12 years... Security/Stewarding is not exempt...

Its clearly against the ground regulations...

I suppose they could take coins off you if they wanted to apply the letter of the law, they can easiloy be used as a weapon. In this instance I'd say it's more a case of applying obvious common sense rather than poor stewarding.

You would not get a flask into a Premiership ground... You call it common sense...others would say its a clear breach of the rules...

I think your money example is real common sense...

And Hot Dogs have been known to cause referees some horrendously bloody injuries (Which strangely tasted of ketchup).

Dont know whether its been said but at halftime in the main stand at the counter nearest to the chaddy downstairs, they had no pies for 15 minutes because they had put extra in the oven. But they were still taking peoples money and they were being forced to stand in the rain waiting for their pie, missing some of the second half.

Absolutely disgraceful catering! - Makes you wonder if they'd stocked up on all the pies in the RRE!

I tried to buy a hot dog just before half time but was told whlst I could have the hot dog there werent any buns left to put them in. Kind of makes sense to buy as many buns as you have hot dogs right...or is that just me.
