Witty
Keep up? The thread is about .... If you were allowed to change one thing at OAFC, what would it be? I realise there is more probability of leeslover's pie-girl fantasy becoming reality than my wish, but the thread allows us to dream. Only asking, sorry. Diego_Sideburns
That in 1994, Mark Hughes last minute volley sailed high over the bar... There is a Nick Hancock book covering a series of 'What if' situations including that one. The ball is recovered from the Wembley running track, the goal kick taken, the final whistle blown and Latics are in the Cup Final. We are also in Europe and it goes on to cover our European adventures. Ah well..... Edited January 28, 2010 by Diego_Sideburns

rosa
16 years ago this april, unbelievable... the b*****d Thanks, now i'm depressed AND i feel old. But in response to the original post...that Sheridan has decided to stick with Hughes and Alessandra up front instead of bringing in a series of players that were past it/unfit/not good enough and were deluded enough to think they were too good for us. singe
Alan Hardy not being very poorly at the time of the Stockport game. or TTA not appointed Brian Talbot or Paul Scholes signs soon or Alan Groves not passed so young, and stayed with us or Ian Olney would have not got injured and bagged the goals we hoped fr

rudemedic
That in 1994, Mark Hughes last minute volley sailed high over the bar... Personally it would be the trial of goal-line technology at the 1990 semi final to show that Nick Henry's goal went in and then the investigation as to why it wasn't given revealing that the linesman supported Man U and the implications then on. In terms of in the last 7 years- TTA not to have fired Moore as him and Shez would have got us up I reckon.

martjs
That in 1994, Mark Hughes last minute volley sailed high over the bar... Exactly - the big "if" in a nutshell. I think about it sometimes and wonder what would've happened. First it would have been one of the best post-match celebrations ever... boboafc
A mega-rich sheikh who.... 1. Spent his youth growing up in Oldham 2. Stood in the Chaddy End every other Saturday and travelled to 80% of away games i.e. a REAL fan 3. Has "Danny Boshell was under-rated" tattooed on his forearm but hidden under the robes 4. Has a personal wealth of £9.8 billion; £8 billion of which is in hard cash in a bank account with £50 million transferred each month into the club via standard order "OAFC will win the Champions League by 2015" 5. Owns 98% of Middle East oil reserves, generating a further £800 million into his bank each year 6. Owns the worldwide patent and distribution rights to an inexhaustible power source that is environmentally friendly once the oil reserves run low 7. Opposes Failsworth 8. Owns 16 acres of land out towards the M62 with planning permission for a 32,000 seater stadium 9.
