pukka
We need a striker with pace. We have Super Matt Smith to do an Iwelumo type job. Edited January 30, 2013 by pukka
bluehobbit
hasnt done anything for years. Strange signing if true, experienced but isnt he more of a target man type of forward....have we already got on on those...Although CI touch etc might be better id rather have someone with some real pace alongside smith

Latics_Fanatic
He only had 5 games. We've only got 17 to save ourselves. Not impressed; but none the less, Welcome Chris, prove us all wrong lad!

steveoafc
I'd have thought a pacy forward would have been on the wish list, but if he can bag some goals then welcome.
HarryBosch
you won't find any. 2005–2007 Colchester United 92 (
razza699
are you not going to post the stats from the spells where he was quite prolific? The only time I would class as prolific was for Colchester and he was 5/6 years younger then. If we didn't have Smith I would say he is a half decent signing and will do the battering ram job but we need a Ryan Lowe type striker who is fast and can provide pace
Tommy_Fent
I think he bagged a load for Colchester the year they got promoted

dec666
This is up there with the worst signings we have ever made!
Schlieb
Just spoke to a burnley fan at work who he played for once upon a time. He seems to rate him, says he's deffo not a goalscorer, but holds it up really well and could be what Baxter needs.

oafcprozac
Smith can learn from him, but i'm hoping he's one for the bench as after Sunday Smith should be undroppable for the foreseeable future. Although he's definitely more effective away from home. But his performance on Sunday shows how he can play at home IF we take the game to the opposition. Murray I can understand, this one I can't really. It's a goalscorer we need not another big lump.
oafcprozac
This is up there with the worst signings we have ever made! Agree, but I thought Ormondroyd coming back would be a disaster but he did ok until Colin dropped him the dick, then relying on the midget brothers we capitulated into relegation.... the_mighty_bosh
Doesn't make sense, he'd be a great signing if we had someone like Derbyshire to play alongside him because he's a great foil for that type of striker (see what Iwelumo and Cureton did for Colchester in our league and the Championship) but we aren't seriously going to play him alongside Smith are we? Almost as bad as watching Steve Flack and Kevin Francis play together for Exeter as a front 2 from the start. Flack being 6 ft 6 and Francis being 6 ft 7! welshgaz
Some people are hard to please. This guy has probably played 500 league games. As Prozac say will reach smith a few things too. Really pleased with this. Edited January 30, 2013 by welshgaz
