nick1979
Does anyone know why Leigh Sports Village has been chosen for the first friendly, could it be one of the stadiums built by the designers of the new stand? http://www.leighsportsvillage.co.uk/stadium_images8.php
laticmad
Hope not. Don't really rate that stadium, even though any of their stands would be better than our current stand. I'd be very happy if the stand is anything like Salford's main stand though.

alex_balls
That picture you've posted, is exactly how I envisage our new Broadway stand to be, but with blue seats.

Oh Heck C-Beck
How do Leigh have a better stadium than us?
LaticsChris
It is an FWP stadium but I'm sure that's entirely coincidental. As others have said Dinamo must be based there. That main stand does look a lot like the one we can expect...
Forte_Baby
How do Leigh have a better stadium than us? Dont think Leigh Genesis exist anymore just used by Leigh Centurains rugby and from i hear have hit money problems themselves.
Tommy_Fent
How do Leigh have a better stadium than us? Mostly down to a forward thinking council, plus they had a lot of land around the site which makes room for a retail outlet, housing estate and small Athletics stadium. Similar to what was proposed at Failsworth, sadly it seems that Failsworth was the only 30 acre site in Oldham (please let's not start the postcode debate again)

rudemedic
How do Leigh have a better stadium than us?The council was willing to build a decent stadium to accommodate a Rugby League team and a football team. Aided by the fact that some of the Liverpool/Everton teams play there too.
Tommy_Fent
We need a tin hat smiley. I was extremely reluctant but it was the only thing I could really compare it to. The other facilities on the site helped fund the stadium Edited July 3, 2013 by Tommy_Fent

Leigh Genesis have started from scratch, again. They now play in the South Lancs Counties Sunday League.Bit of a comedown from playing Fulham in the F.A Cup not so long ago.
